Well it wasn't a death, but I did get synced:
Not too long ago some friends and I were doing themed matches and we finally got around to doing N7s (Shadow, Slayer, Demolisher and Destroyer as I recall). Anyway, UUP gives us Giant versus Collectors and despite a cold start to the match (frigid, actually), things go relatively well. Extraction happens, and the Destroyer, Demolisher and I are sitting in the overlook across from the LZ, killing anything that comes to either of the two ramps...which isn't much.
You see my friend, the Slayer, was taking all the aggro, having gotten himself caught at the ladder going down from the LZ (Dragoon ladder block, followed by rofl stompfest and Praetorian stab legs). He spends several ops packs and medigels and is able to stay alive for a time, but it wasn't long before he had consumed all there was to be consumed and was down for the final time. Time's running out, and with a cry of "no one gets left behind" I Shadow Strike the Dragoon who's about to execute him, from damn near across the map. I follow up with a missile (killstreak...the Enemy had a hard on for the Slayer that wave, apparently) and a revive, saying "I hope, Slayer, that I have impeccable timing."
My friends laughs, "indeed you do - HOLY S*** SPAWN!" and confirms what I already know to be true: that the enemies I had just missiled had, naturally, spawned right around the corner from the ladder where we were. They were on us immediately.
Being out of consumables - and noticing the situation and that we were nearly out of time - my friend says to me "I'm sorry ark, good luck," and teleports (being that he is a Slayer) towards the LZ.
So I'm surrounded by Dragoons and a crab, there's 10 seconds left in the match and I'm thinking to myself "thank God I still have that missile launcher out." I don't get the chance to use it though, as the crab grabs me almost the second after I finish reviving my friend. Dragoons beat the crap out of me as the crab is impaling me, and down me. Instead of dying - or bleeding out - after the sync animation, though, the crab drops me...and I'm alive. I missile the ground again - killstreak #2 (the bastards!) - and sprint to the LZ, time running out as I get there.
That's a recent, but also memorable near death experience I had: full extraction (just in the nick of time), and a selfless act rewarded.
You go ME3, you go.
