Warning this baby is 41.61 gb (according to neogaf forums).
Wut? How is it 41 GB if it's 20 something on PC origins?

So the achievement list it out and I heard that it contains big spoilers. Some people may consider starting their blackout.
they usually don't compress on consoles that is why its 41 gigs.
the achievement pictures reveal some spoilers luckily I wasn't looking at them
I'll just wait for both my physical copies for PS4 and PC. But I'm happy for you guys, that's sort of cool that you get it the minute it's released.
As much as I prefer digital now, there is no way I'm paying £55 for DAI on XBO when I can buy it for £40 on Amazon right now.
Yep no way I'm downloading this game the extra £15 is a rip off.
It's nice to see consoles finally adopting the pre-downloading feature.

shame the xbone version is in 900p instead of 1080pDone and done, been waiting for this for a long time now, plus with EA Access I can get the Deluxe version for 63 bucks and apparently we get early access although I haven't heard the detail on that yet either.
Not to mention Xbox is getting DLC first as well.
EDIT: Also over 40GB is either a sign of a lot of content or shitty compression. We'll see
.
A lot of games on next gen consoles weigh in at about 40gb. I dunno why they don't compress it as much as PC versions but there you go.
There is no catch. Microsoft officially dropped the price of the XBox One till January by $50 in the USA, including all the bundles.
Hmmmmm, have to think about this. I pre ordered from amazon but with shipping it won't be here until the 21st or sumpin. (I don't pay for priority shipping.)

I'm kinda surprised it's going up so early. Bioware isn't worried about this leaking on the internet so early?
Thanks! I remember when I shelled out $600 for my PS3 lol.
Heh, i wish they would cost $600 and be true next gen instead of the half-gen step they made.

The preload for the Master Chief Collection and AC Unity were up last week and they come out the week before Inquisition so nah, this is standard.
Wait, I'm confused and hope someone can answer my question: is the pre-download or whatever only for people who are buying a digital copy?
So if I preordered deluxe edition from GameStop, I can't download it early, I just have to wait till I have the disk... Right??
Yes, it's digital only.
I also bought physical, so I have to wait too.

Only for digital. Basically, if you preorder digitally on the One right now, you'll be charged immediately for your purchase(rather than at the shipping date if you purchase physical), and the game will begin installing.
Once install is completed, it will sit and wait for the unlock at midnight on the 18th, when you can immediately begin playing.
I say this because it worked the same way for Sunset Overdrive, which I preordered digitally and unlocked for me at midnight today(been playing it since).
If you preorder a physical copy, you'll have to wait till you have the disc with you at launch or whenever you get it, then put it in the console and install it to the HDD and play it once thats completed.
I was thinking about buying XBox 1 and I might have to because of this. Just looked on Amazon and they have a bundle with Assasin's Creed coming out on 2 November for $350. Since the price of just the console is usually $400, I'm very tempted. Before I purchase though, does anyone know if there is a catch here? Sounds too good to be true.
The catch is that it's a sub-class system hardware wise. Noticeably weaker than PS4, not to mention PC. It has its advantages as Microsoft is whipping out crazy amounts of money to "convince" developers and publishers to give them timed exclusives but when it comes to having more power in your system then out of the two main consoles the PS4 is the better one. But seeing how Microsoft bribes even large developers like Ubisoft to limit their games on other systems and platforms to the level xBox One can handle (up to 900p and 30fps) that might not matter.
That said however do consider the fact that while this "next gen" console (xBox One) is a year old it already can't handle modern games. Evil Within for example is capped at 30fps and runs at sub-hd resolution of 640p. Welcome back to the 90s.
The point is, it depends on what matters to you. If you're ok with playing games on a weaker system that can give you less in terms of fluency of gameplay and visual quality then you'll benefit from early access cause Microsoft is doing their best to dig themselves out of the grave they've dug. If You want a truly "next gen" system and can whip out some money (like $800-$1000) then you can build a good gaming PC with AMD components. If you want a cost effective option that doesn't suck hardware-wise then go for PS4.

Well makes sense that is up for pre-load now since xbox ones price has drop, get ready for the big sales push for all games coming out on xbox one.
I would expect a new version of the xbox one or a new console for xbox to come out within the next couple of years, its noticeable that xbox one is doing well with all the money mircosoft is throwing about.
Has for pc rage against mircosoft, why would there be any mircosoft made its choice to go the cheap route for its console system and sink its gaming money into xbox one, its more funny then rage worthy.
Edit: Consoles is where the cheap easy money of the massess is, thats a fact and any pc gamer knows this the ones that nerd rage don't speak for all of us really. But in anycase this most likely will be taken has raging by console folks and will get my laughs in.
Wow, my first thought was "Already?"
Isn't it a little early? Are all pre-loads done this far in advance then? I admit, I've never looked into it - I just always thought they came a day or two early, just so it was ready to go on the correct date. Not a whole month early.
Having said that, with the size of the download perhaps it takes that long to download and install ![]()

If the game is ready, the game is ready. The digital preorders on the console come with the preload install so once the installs are ready, why not? The more time preloads are available, the more likely people are to take them.
Can anyone explain why the game can be downloaded 20 days before it's released?
Like...if it's ready now why not let people play it? Is it just because they need to print the data onto discs?
