as a EAA member I can tell you that you will be fine when I joined EAA I sold my disk copy of FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4 I did not have to redownlaod the DDL version, it just said play.  Same goes for any digital game if you have the digital copy downloaded but don't have the license (your friend downloaded a game he has while at your house) it will tell you to either put the disk in or purchase the license to continue playing.

On topic those who have physical copies but are EAA members will technically be able to preload as well which is nice

Not until 14th of November if you are in the US and probably the 16th in other countries. This is a exclusive for XBox1 users only.

I don't think there is any info on when the PS4 pre-load will become available. To get the preload you'd have to have pre-ordered the digital copy through PSN though.

Going gold is always a thing. If it hasn't gone gold yet, its because they're still fixing things, keeping it clean and pristine(as much as they can) for when its finally ready for launch.

This doesn't add up. They can't release the game for preload until it's in its final state, which would mean it has gone gold. Since it can now be preloaded the game has to have gone gold. So why no announcement yet from BioWare?

I was confused too and I actually asked this question but unfortunately the person I asked is more involved with the PC side of things rather than console. It could be that console versions are gold and PC versions are not, but thats an assumption.

At the very least, the Xbox One version is gold...

 

The PC and PS4 versions aren't available for pre-download yet, they likely aren't gold yet, and the PS3 and 360 versions don't have digital versions, from what I understand, so who knows what their status is...

Ps3 does, 360 doesn't.

I have my preorder at gamestop, but from what I understand, the ps4 version at least will be available to preload on the 14th, I believe. When sony announces a preload date, they don't move from it just because it goes gold three weeks ahead of launch, like most games do anyway.

Sp if I preload it with EA Access I can play it 5 days earlier and get it cheaper...not a bad

Also, I'm frankly tired of waiting, screw the bugs I throw caution to the wind and will be blinded by fanboy goggles this one time

It's possible only the Xbox One version has gone gold, but then again I'm also hearing reports of the game being up for preload on PS4, so I dunno.

Someone posted a preload screen somewhere (I think Twitter thread) that I swear was Playstation.

I've been checking mine for two days. No pre-load on PS4 for me. Just that agonizing countdown clock. I do remember Destiny dl'ing a week earlier than its stated preload date so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Probably a LOT. I know that large sums of people did the same for FIFA and whilst that's eagerly anticipated every year and has a bigger fanbase, the build up to DAI and hardcore support suggest that it wouldn't be a surprise to see a mass increase in sign-ups.

 

I think EA Access is a cracking deal. I've already made all my money back on it and will keep doing so if they release a couple of games I go for and increase the vault library.
