I'm kind of unmoved. It's fine, I guess. Sounds like the soundtrack to a fantasy game.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down the aftist's work. It's obviously nothing I could even dream of doing. That being said, it's not something I'm going to listen to over and over outside of the video game. At the same time, I won't mute the sound on my game when I play it either. Make sense?

To be fair though, the only video game soundtrack (besides GTA Vice City, which doesn't really count) I've ever purchased was FF VI. So perhaps I'm not the target audience.

It's a beautiful theme, but the versions with the really strong string sections sound so much better to me. Hopefully they'll release "official" and "alternate" versions, like the DAO "high fantasy" and "dark fantasy" themes.
