Not bad but it's no Dragon's Dogma boss theme.
Sounds neat, but Child of Light boss theme is better.

Like several others in this thread have mentioned, I also prefer the live E3 version with the mournful, soulful cello.
To paraphrase Christopher Walken: "More Strings!"
I loved the deeper, richer, more resonant versions!
That was...quite goregous...though I admit the absence of the strings was a bit jarring. But still, quite angellic and awesome none the same.
This is my favourite version of the DA2 Theme so far!
Finally played the DAI theme here at home on my computer. Have a Bose 5.1 system hooked up to my rig. I cranked the sound until my solid wood desk top started to vibrate. The bonus is that the music is well balanced and tells a story of its own. It's truly epic. Why can't I be epic (heavy sigh). Back to my accounting job.
Seriously, this theme literally seems to be the perfect theme for DA I. It just starts up and has a slow and gradual build up. Its full of wonder and its own sense of discovery and you can imagine sweeping vistas. Plus, the drums, and the action, and the drama. I can think of few examples where musical theme matched so seamlessly with its subject matter.
It's beautiful, and eerie, and epic, and I feel like I'm going on a huge epic adventure just from listening to it!

This exactly. You just feel yourself being swept away by the music. So amazing.
It had a download button! It was in WAV format which is original. Damn Soundcloud, why limits free download for free songs.
Did anyone downloaded it? If you did, please give me the links. I ripped the stream but it's just 128kbps lossy file.
Beautiful. I like the soft theme at the beginning and then it turns into an epic that lets you know you're about to explore an awesome world.
That piece of heavenly crafted music is beyond all doubt, the greatest piece of heavenly music I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
I made a SoundCloud account, just so I could like that song. I am so glad I changed my pre-order from standard to deluxe.
Got some serious chills from this track. It's absolutely brilliant.
I listened to the different versions again, and I think the one linked in the OP is the best by a big margin, mainly because of the instrumentation used in the first minute, which makes it a little less "generically epic".
Generic or not. I don't care. Great music. ![]()

Play this ing when you work and you will embody epicness. Every staple, every number crunch, every everything will be like the Gods themselves are working through you.
... Let their power guide you to greatness...

I hope they put the cello version on itunes..Like several others in this thread have mentioned, I also prefer the live E3 version with the mournful, soulful cello.
Woah this is good. Damn where's that game~!!!!?
A bit late but, well...
It's okay. A competently made piece of generic epic music, the fantasy videogame musical equivalent of a decent steak with fries.
At least when it comes to videogame music, I don't think Morris is at the level of Soule or Haugen (yet), but I think it fits the Dragon Age franchise pretty well.
Risk of buying the soundtrack: Zero, but I can understand there are a lot of DA fans who love this.
Heard many songs from the soundtrack already. A more consistent high quality than Inon Zur had for both DA:O and DA2. Some hate it because it's different, but none can deny their quality.
