Im actually okay if Cory is the big bad. I really enjoyed him in legacy. Although i do wonder if he is merely an agent of the elder one, or something to that effect. The pics of him are just awesome

I don't understand why people seem disappointed that Coryphereus is the big bad (assuming he is). I personally think he has terrific potential as a villain. Unlike Archdemons who can be destroyed, Coryphereus is so powerful he HAD to be sealed away by the Grey Wardens. I'm sure they wanted to kill him but they could not. In addition he has the power to control Wardens, perhaps even Alistair, Blackwall or the Hero of Ferelden...

I'm also glad they added a previous DLC villain as a antagonist. It seems as though this is something the Dragon Age team considered during the development of DA2 showing they had a long-term plan on the Inquisition plot three years ago.

Just to note, the last time Bioware did a new antagonist without a previous game appearance was Star-Child in Mass Effect 3. I'd rather avoid a red, green or blue conclusion if possible.

The main plot of DAI is something Bioware planned as DAO's sequel originally. They later decided to develop DA2 between The two games.

I seem to recall that Hawke was originally a companion or something in their original plans for what would become DA:I and that DAII was suppose to be some sort of Gaiden gamed called Exodus.

I don't recall anything about Hawke being a companion, but I could've missed it.
DA2 was originally called Exodus, indeed.

Maybe you are just thinking of that Facebook game that was released before DA2 came out, where Hawke, Morrigan and Isabela appeared as random companions.

2 things.

1. I abhor difficulty achievements just because it is one of the easiest things that can get tossed in with no other real effect besides a cutscene post credits, but this doesn't seem to be that kind of game

2. I am going to flip furniture if I get stuck with another bugged collector achievement again. If the cap on codex entries is exactly 250 or the exact number of seeds you can harvest/find are 50 total and can be added to Skyhold's garden then I will be absolutely livid.

Kinda lame that the First Darkspawn is the big bad in a story that in no way, shape, or form involves the Darkspawn.. And, if it indeed was the Elder One Felassan was speaking to at the end of Masked Empire, then that ending makes even less sense... Honestly BioWare could have gone in ANY other direction than this, and I would have been fine with it. But this is just.... Lame...

Personally, I consider Felassan's line to be of little importance, given that he's a novel character, and Bioware's never particularly cared about novel continuity. Although he could still have spoken to Corypheus, as TME takes place after DA2.

It's the same guy, just using a different voice. In fact, in the last trailer, he speaks twice, one in his rock wraith abomination voice (the "you will always resist" line) and later in his Corypheus voice ("I will not suffer even an unknown rival").

I doubt Cory is the Elder One. It's too easy. I do think he'll play a huge part in the Elder One's overall plan, though.

In the Hero of Thedas trailer, I could have sworn I heard Cory's old actor speak the "I will not suffer even an unknowing rival" line. Which is...interesting, because it was definitely NOT the same VA speaking in the Enemy of Thedas trailer.

He has a dragon pet. That's what you see in the artbook. You can even see Cory telling his pet to attack the Inquisitor and his party in Enemy of Thedas trailer. The scene where the Inquisitor's party are closing the big elven doors and a dragon is coming at them. There is a tiny Cory in the background.

That's just the thing!

He controls a dragon which looks like zombie dragon. We've seen concept art and an obviously proven "early achievement list leak" of the inquisitor taming a dragon. Then we see in the enemy trailer zombie dragon being attacked by the Ferelden Frostback. In the Hero trailer the zombie dragon is attacked by lightning dragon instead. What if the Herald gets control of one dragon of their choosing. It would solidify why the dragon's attack each other and also give parallel's between the Herald of Andraste (You) and the Herald of Dumat/Elder One (Corypheus).
