Judging from what we have seen in sneak peeks for the next trailer. I doubt we'll be lucky enough to get a chance to let the City Elves rebel took out Celene. Such a shame.   I still hope we won't be forced to go pro-Celene, and we can side with either Celene, Gaspard or Briala, and whoever we choose to side with will help the Inquisition.

Eh, wasn't trying to drag this topic discussion to something else, but any discussion about Celene and Gaspard and the civil war, anything from TME may have a connection to what happen in Orlesian Ball or some events that we'll involve ourselves with Orlesian nobles if some of us start to speculate something. I'm not going to risk and get this thread lockdown. That's just my opinion anyway and the subject is debatable. Despite that my comment voice my opinion, I'm not looking for a fight nor to start a debate, and the debate on who's better can keep to its own thread. We can move on to discuss about the achievements list or speculate about Orlesian Ball's achievement since one are about gaining the approval of Orlesian's court.

We know the orlesian ball occurs at the Winter Palace. We know we are there to stop an assassin attempting to kill one or both Celene and Gaspard.  We know that the point of the Ball is that the civil war has stalemated and the two sides are looking to reach some accord putting the civil war behind them.  We know there is a lot of politics/intrigue/behind the scenes manuvering involved.  We do know that it can be both good and bad to attract the attention of the Orlesian Court.

 

What we don't know- If Briala is involved in any form, what kind of impact we can have on the negotiations, if it is largely scripted or not, if we can let or even assist the assassin with their mission, again, if the resolution to the Orlesian Civil war is a predetermined  element and we are just there to stop the assassin or if we can actually affect the outcome(this is what I am hoping but don't know).

 

What I am thinking-  Celene holds the upper hand/high ground/superior position to Gaspard being as the ball is occurring on her turf at the winter palace.
