I wondered if Cory was the Big Bad, only 'cos the Elder One's accent reminded me of Cory's, albeit not as thick. Wouldn't be the least surprised if he IS him, but if he isn't, eh, don't really care either way.

Also, that giant spider with lots of holes? Looks more like a giant crab to me. It's kind of hard to find it scary. To be honest, the only thing "scary" about it is how much butter you'd need to melt to cover the damned thing. We're talking several hundred gallons at least.

To begin with something, it seems that golden city was black before the Magisters managed to get there. It`s possibile that old gods used magisters to get to realm of Thedas. Kind of Reaper plot... don`t you think ?

You know how one of the achievements says "Enter the Solasian Temple", or something of the sort? What are the chances of Solas (the companion) being an elf from ancient times that was suspended in some sort of suspended animation or some such?

 

Didn't a description of him somewhere even say that his "bald head displays his ageless wisdom?" or something around those lines? lol

Seconding all of this. Especially with all the ~WHERE IS YOUR MAKER NOW~ stuff, it would make a lot of sense for the Big Bad to be an Old God, and Cory seems central enough that Dumat isn't out of the realm of possibility.

A recent leak showed that corypheus is controlling the grey wardens and raising an undead army,it was one of the quests on the world map,presumably that's why the inquisition is shown attacking the grey wardens in most of the trailers,this was relatively early in the game(emerald graves and fairbanks).All in all,I would be slightly disappointed if it's Dumat,it would be interesting if there were a completely new main antagonist we have never heard of

Even Morrigan did not believe Flemeth was dead after you attacked her in Origins. And Corypheus body jacking that Grey Warden was balant.

I honestly think there's a bigger bad after Cory. I just can't think of one right now...

I agree. Cory may be the final villain of this particular installment, but I think there is still a much bigger threat on the horizon.

I am not as enamored of Grey Wardens as other people are, but I do find myself reluctant to attack them head on. If they are being controlled, then in theory if I can break that control I might be able to save them. That said...if I have too...I will slay them all to ensure Cory stays dead this time

I'm not sure. I think Bioware might go for a different direction in term of The next antagonist. I don't think it'll be another Supernatural threat.

The Venatori imply that something much older and more powerful than Corypheus is at play.

The point still stands. There are a multitude of ways to survive death in this fantasy universe and Dumat may have used any one of them. Or all of them.

Corypheus is very major player,that much is pretty much impossible to argue against at this point. What's unclear is if he's the big bad or the big bad's dragon (no pun intended) and heavy. There's evidence for both.

All right, the Venatori take red cliff....but Alexis does not seem happy to be working for is master 'The Elder one'.

 

Cory's takes the Grey Wardens....and I just realized that letting Avernus continue his blood research might be about to bite me in the ass.....

I mean, If he's The Elder one, they'll surely serve him.

And Bioware will introduce Cat People as a playable race. Struggling under the oppression of the Qun, rise and hiss little cat men and women!
