so, pre-season's over, teams have dumped their walk-in players and its time for the big boys to come out and play, who do you think will win it all? who will fail miserably in the face of great expectations? and will Philly's players join the cast of "Fury" for yet another season

I'm hoping this thread catches fire, because I love basketball. It's my favorite sport.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this season - Dallas fan here. I love the additions of Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler alongside Dirk and Monta. Seeing Tyson in a Dallas uniform again will be an awesome sight. I'll reserve judgment on Raymond Felton and Jameer Nelson, but they could make big contributions if they're right.

I'm a little worried the PG overload and lack of front court depth on our roster, but I see Dallas being a factor in the Western Conference this year. Our offense alone should be enough to win us games. I don't have any championship aspirations at the moment, but I can see the Mavs competing for one of the top four seeds.

Not too concerned about who 'wins it all', as I'm a Knicks fan and I've learned to appreciate the season and the whole lead up, more than the end result, as that usually ends in disappointment for me with some team I don't like winning.

Chandler Parsons only scored 5 points last night. #lolworstadditionever

Kobe was lookin' like an old dude.

I wouldn't sleep on the Pelicans. Asik and Davis are going to be a ruthless combination.

The Brow is a destroyer of worlds.

Where I'm worried about the Pellies is their lack of depth. They have almost no good bench players at any position, especially bigs; when Davis is out, he can anchor a group of scrubs, but when he sits, the team's offense and defense both go down the tubes. Of all the decent-to-good teams in the West, New Orleans is probably the most susceptible to a single injury sinking a season.

Looking forward to the Knicks-Cavs game tomorrow night. That roster might be the perfect one for David Blatt - with his offensive scheme combined with the spacing and size he can get out of LeBron, Love, and Irving, Cleveland could have the best offense in league history. And on the other side of the ledger, if their performance so far tonight against the Bulls is anything to go by, New York still has a lot of problems to solve. One of my favorite kinds of games to watch is the kind of games where the Knicks get annihilated.

Lakers got stomped to again. Kobe did a bit better from the field against the Suns at least. He was balling.
