Tevinter/Qunari war sounds very interesting. I would love a Tevinter magister origin or a Qunari actually following the Qun, it could make for great roleplay. It would be a nice change too.

Sixth blight is a good idea because it works. as we saw in DAO. tevinter and Qunari sounds interesting as well.

But you could put those things together, and if you have a sixth blight that is brewing then you can involve entire thedas.

For the sixth blight, need the last 2 archdeamons at the same time, plus adding a few more plot twist. And then we can have the entire Thedas and that'll be the end of the series...

Honestly, the Sixth Blight will likely not take that long to happen. Urthemiel wasn't woken up and tainted by a massive horde of darkspawn, but instead by the Architect screwing around. Likely, the majority of the horde was in some other part of Thedas trying to dig to either Razikale or Lusacan, which would explain why the Blight didn't just steamroll over Fereldan in a few months. They were probably fairly close to reaching the next Old God, since it had been over a century since the last Blight had ended.

Muh..I personally want a story Flemeth centered . Maybe even go back to Andraste Time .

That would make a great expansion. I like this a lot *throws money at bioware*.

I think the general consensus is that we'll be seeing the Tevinter-Qunari conflict in DA4. I'm not quite sure how Bioware will pull it off, but it's a realky exciting idea.

I think that the next game will have very much to do with the Qunari wanting to invade Thedas. They've strongly hinted throughout the games that the war is coming eventually- I personally would LOVE to have to deal with a situation like that in-game, where you're either trying to stop the war before it begins, or trying to fight to bring the war to an end.

My theory is that the next game, should the Qunari War be the plot, will start not long after the end of Inquisitions. Thedas will have (hopefully) closed all the tears in the Veil, or found someway to deal with them satisfactorily, but at the cost of many, many resources and lives. The nations will be significantly weakened, and the Qunari will see this weakness and pounce on the opportunity. The main character will have to find a way to stop the war one way or another.

This is just my theory of course, but it seems plausible with all the Qunari things thrown about and Qunari saying things like "It is not a matter of if, but when."

the minimum between blights is 100 years. it's often a lot longer. I doubt they were that close to digging up one of the old gods. If they did another blight it would have to be a forcable resurrection just like the 5th blight was. If it was it'd probably be on a more massive scale as well sadly.

But we really don't need another blight to tell the story.  The biggest reason that this blight wasn't bigger is that it was over so quickly.  There has never been a force that nicely in position to take care of the emergence of the Blight like that before.  Heck the Archdemon itself doesn't even make it above ground until your like half way into the game or so.   Most of the horde is likely to be behind that monstrosity and not in front of it so it never even made it out to the surface by the time you beat the Archdemon and send them all scurrying back.   The Deep Roads are still fairly empty in the free marches from their movements into the deep roads under thedas by the time of the Expedition in DAII.

What I think could be a fairly interesting storyline might be say... A Political assassination not involving the Crows for some reason that just shakes everything up and we could spend our time in say Antiva or things near there about the same time or maybe a little before DA:I.  Get to see a totally new decadent and corrupt land in our travels and series of heroes of Thedas.

The mage/templar business surely has to be put to bed by the end of Inquisition (probably with some kind of paradigm shift which makes a new, more palatable solution possible).

The next game surely has to be the Qunari invasion, or perhaps more likely a prelude to it based around Tevinter / That Island I Cant Remember.

I feel as if the next game should be about the Qunari invasion, not just of Tevinter, but for all of Thedas. Another major storyline that could occur during the game is a conflict between the White Divine and the Black Divine. Perhaps both Divines could work together to defeat the Qunari, but turn on each other afterwards. I think it's time they finally took notice of each other again anyway. Places the player would be able to visit are, of course, the Tevinter Imperium, Par Vollen, and Val Royeaux (or at least just the Grand Cathedral). The returning companion, assuming there is one, could be Iron Bull. Of course, the Divine plot can only happen if the Chantry doesn't fall to pieces during the events of Inquisition. Or maybe the Chantry will fall, and the Black Divine uses that as an opportunity to expand.

I don't know! There are so many possibilities...

here is a question. if the next game is in Tevinter during a Qunari-Tevinter war, how should the issue of Slavery be handled, since well it can be a rather touchy issue. I doubt many would want to be part of the tevinter's side if it meant supporting slavery for instance. So I am wondering what do you think bioware might do with it?

For me, i like this as it would make it one of the most greyest conflicts yet, as well both the Qun and Tevinter have there issues and there postivies.

I for some reason doubt DA  will be just 5 games long, they said they had plans for at least DA 5 meaning that DA 5 could be the last one or there could be more. I think a Qunari invasion or something to do with Qunari will be the plot for DA 4.

Too early to say what the next game will be about when we don't even know what state the world will be in when DAI closes it's curtains.  For all we know the Sixth blight could happen during DAI.  I'm just gonna wait and see for now.  :D

It's waaay to early for another blight and i much rather have a Qunari Invasion/Tevinter-Qunari war centered game than a game about the blight.

Architect, dead or no, is gonna have some serious influence over the next blight. After all, who knows exactly how many darkspawn he "freed" or if he even had an apprentice of sorts. Even a scant few days under him could give said -?apprentice?- all manner of ideas. How long the next blight is going to be is up to our dark sentient.......... playmates. (This is not taking Corypheus and his brethren into consideration mind you.)

What if the last two blights happen together? like, the last 2 Archdemons are awoken at the same time? I could see a great storyline playing out there, like you have to kill both simultaneously since when each one dies it is drawn to the other instead of the nearest thing with taint. And maybe two protagonists or something. What an awesome war that would be!

I would love a freedom fighter/power hungry rebel possibly leading to or possibly from from a tevinter qunari war which will happen eventually and be able to play a iron bull like qunari or maybe we for da 4 we play an Alexander the great type conquerer from the inquisition

Finished the game and have it some thought.

People keep saying there can't be another blight since the last was so recent. But you could look at it another way you say another blight is likely to happen soon because the fifth never really even began.

It mentions somewhere the reason it took such a long time for the fifth blight to start was because more dark spawn were supposedly killed during the 4th blight than any others. So there are probably still an unusually large number up of darkspawn in the deep roads since they haven't really launched a full invasion since the 4th blight?

As for the next game, it could be about the elves, or maybe the tevinter and their war with the qunari.

Or it could maybe be another blight.... With both the 6th and 7th archdemons rising simultaneously? Needs to be something new enemy, or an old enemy more dangerous than ever.

Seeing a REAL blight would be cool though, Thedas in a true total war setting is something I do not feel I like I have actually seen in anyone of the 3 games actually... Always feels like a near miss disaster...
