seeing a volus with no equipment and only grenade capacity equipped wielding a shurikan in platinum is intimidating only because that gives you an idea of what kind of a crazy son of a ****** you're about to play with.
terrifying.

Not intimidating.
But skipping the Reegar, Hurricane, Harrier, Talon, Claymore, Carnifex, Acolyte, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Prothean Particle Rifle, and Avenger crutch weapons is at least slightly impressive.
Avenger a crutch weapon? Maybe you meant the Lancer? Also, I would add the Venom to that crutch weapons list.

The Avenger is deadly on full auto.

I remember trying it out on gold with my TSol. All I remember is that it ran out of ammo pretty quickly and didn't do nearly as much as most of the other weapons I use on him.

Yeah, guess I took it too seriously.
After listening to Zaeed's stories of the Avenger in action I've learned not to underestimate the gun.
Nothing intimidates me. The only thing that effects me while in a lobby is seeing people join with inappropriate gear for the difficulty, such as people joining Plat lobby's with Level 1 shields and rocking level 1-4 weapons with no ammo bonuses or consumables expecting to be taken seriously. That's not intimidating, more like plain frustrating.
I spent ages being 'the new guy' and would still be considered new given I'm still only at the 500 N7 range after 147H time played in multiplayer, but that doesn't mean I'm going to care one way or the other about someone with lower or higher so long as they at least look like they're equipped enough to show they've played enough to have a basic idea of what they're doing.
That isn't even a guarantee - but hey, that is the PuG life.
The Avenger is deadly on full auto.
Has anyone else tried a Marksman Infiltrator with the Avenger in SP? That crap is TERRIFYING!
... then you run out of ammo after like three cloaks. FML.

I wish I could give this all my quota of like for today. Especially since it reminds me of all the crazy, Shuriken-wielding Voluses that I've seen.
I don't even look at people in my lobby. It's okay if they're going to kill something and do objectives that require everyone to participate.

FR sent so that you can learn what it truly means to be intimidated by my godly N7 and CP ![]()
Nothing in ME3 intimidates me. I do get annoyed rather easily though...

I once tried a Hurricane Marksman Infil in SP.
"Ridiculous" doesn't even begin to describe the damage output.
N7 ceases to matter after 120.
Before 120 it's pretty worrisome.
For CP, I'd only worry if it's less than... I dunno, 10k maybe.
A high amount of either isn't going to intimidate me. It'll make me think 'oh good I won't have to try and carry the match and probably choke under pressure.'

Let's start a petition to replace QMI's TacScan with marksman. Doubly if it lets me use bonus power to cloak spam arc grenades 50% faster.
holy crap its thebunz and he now plays on pc

Sent, we should game sometime.
If you want speed, you need to pick the Vorcha Hunter. As the difference in speed is very noticeable as you zip past the other Vorcha kits like they're running on the spot.
And if you want to remove flamer, pick the Sentinal and Grenade capacity of some sort. As this way you don't have to worry about weight either.
Flamer isn't that fun at all, but at least the Vorcha kits can detonate it unlike the Geth. So that can be fun. Just set flamer for more length so you can prime easier and more enemies; activate Flamer very briefly for a single enemy then detonate; and for a group of enemies hold it on for a bit longer to make sure you set them all on fire, then detonate.
Just please try not to hold the flamer for full duration too much, as the sound mostly glitches for other players your playing with, making it sound to them as if they are doing the Flamer even with you on the other end of a map. Very, very annoying and very loud + drowning all other sounds for other players too (very bad for some like me who uses a surround sound headset to listen to other sound cues).
Since I just got a fresh account on PC, which would bring a better shock factor;
Having a high N7 and challenge points?
Or
Having a really low N7 and just being the best in the lobby?
Topscoring in pugs as N7 69 was one of my favourite things to do. But then I got a kit card on an unlocked class, and ruined it forever. ![]()
I can tell you from my personal experience that having a very high N7 and CP is extremely intimidating for some people (not all) so much so that they start hating on the high N7/CP player for no good reason and/or become really nervous or uncomfortable playing with them.
But if you have a dangerous reputation it does not matter whether you have a N7 120 or N7 60,000, others will get equally intimidated either way. It is the name that matters not the N7/CP you have.

Having a name is crutch.

But then he turns out to be Legion of Rannoch and he carries you the whole way. At least, that's what happened to me.
I never check the N7 and only sometimes the challenge points of other players. As I only look at the weapons and what levels they are at to tell me how much play time & experience folks have in this game. Next I sometimes look at what powers folks have as to better avoid certain setups (ie. Engineer Kit with Flamer & cryo Acolyte
... THANKS FOR THE TIP, MEGABEAST!).
But if I do look at points, I only accept challenge points and never, ever, N7 score. N7 score means absolutely nothing. Wish it never existed. As it's a pointless stat. So really don't know why folks look up so much too it? Even more then challenge points, lol.

See there's the mistake, need to keep it at 20 if you really want to confuse people.
Oh, sure, you're only N7 49 too late!

Mine aren't even that high (3,600 N7 and ~90,000 CP) but the most common reaction I've encountered is the "Oh, he's got this!" This is where they ninja bump the difficulty up to platinum while you're lol'ing around on Gold with a less than optimal build, or they all switch to a freshly promoted level 1 for a nice curry.
