Normally I'd feel pretty confident about playing MP, since I cut my teeth on stuff like Halo and COD, but since I'll be on PC for the first time, albeit with a controller, I'm a bit nervous >.>

Don't worry! It's why we've created these threads. We all just want to have some fun and not get caught up with massively serious players who rage etc when people die... we joked awhile back calling it things like "failinquisition" & "drunkinquisition" (or something very similar). We all just want to have fun, learn, laugh and died together
It will be a learning curve for all of us
Thanks! I'm willing to try and have some fun. ![]()

I can assure you all that I am not being modest when I say that I will probably be truly awful at MP... and I will die (repeatedly) with my boots on. It will be glorious! No one should feel too embarrassed to try! ![]()

I'm a button masher, sometimes it works and looks glorious (ofc then it's deliberate!) most of the time, I truly suck
I used to grab a shot of my hubbys CoD but I was so bad, he stopped me as he didn't want me tied to his player name

For the majority of us, this is for fun and nothing more, I wouldn't even be thinking about playing MP if it wasn't for you guys. (I didn't even download the free ME maps, never played it).

Okay I finally got on Origin tonight and accepted all the friend requests. I did some snooping and found a few of you via other friends' and sent out requests, but probably didn't get everyone.
Once again, I'm motomotogirl on Origin (my old BSN name ^^) so feel free to add me!
Hoping to play either the archer or the hunter since both look like archers.

So glad the idea of Drunkquisition has been resurrected! Obviously wine enhances the ability to play, anyone who claims otherwise is just lying to themselves.

Don't be too nervous--I think you'll enjoy the computer immensely. I actually have the opposite problem since I will be first playing DAI on the PS4, . as I won't being getting a new graphic card to update my computer until after the holidays. I'm nervous about getting used to playing with a controller since I am primarily a PC gamer

My PC controller comes in two days from now; going to test it out on Skyrim (which I also just bought) so hopefully I'll be a pro by the time DAI comes out (ha!)

If you feel the most comfortable with xbox controller you can always set it up with the pc. Linky here
I have managed to set up ps3 controller with Morrowind in the past though I still prefer mouse and keyboard.
I am pimping myself with new cherry red keyboard and new mouse with lots of mechanical switches for the multiple spells my mages will use. I hope it will actually help with DAMP cause I will be panicking without pause button ![]()

I am timebean on Origins. I am in America on Central Standard Time. And...I have never played a multiplayer game in my life, so if any newbies wanna get together, or folks who are fine to let a newbie in on their group...well...that's me!!!
I have to get a headset and stuff before I get into it and I am gonna focus on the single player mostly outta the gate, but please feel free to add me as a friend on the Keep, etc!

I have to say I have never been this excited to try a multiplayer game! I have always been too nervous to try ME3 multiplayer, because I'm not sure if I would play it well or not.. So playing with people as awesome as you guys will be fun!

My origin name is Mahumia, and I'm at GMT+1. Think I'll first get through the SP before I'll try MP though... and I think I'll join the failquisition team
I've been playing WoW for years, but really... I'm not good at maximising my output...

Can you guys recommend a good headset and mic for a reasonable price? I assume we'll all be chatting as we play, yeah?
EDIT: Another question: I just got an email from Origin saying "Preload is available" for DAI. What does this mean?? Does this mean we can play the game early?? I am at work so can't check.

Preload means we can download it now, but we can't play until release.

Oh okay! ...Darn ![]()
And... um... cheap?
What's the cheapest-but-still-good one you can recommend? I just want to be able to communicate with y'all when we play.

I do all of my electronics shopping on Amazon, so I hope you don't mind that.
I recommend these:
http://www.amazon.co..._pr_product_top
I don't use them anymore, but I have like 5 of these lying around because they're really the best value headsets I've seen. They're really comfy, sound good and the playback is very good if you just need to communicate. They just don't last really long, I guess I'm kinda rough with them because they don't last longer than 4-6 months for me. But you might be different, lol. Plus they come in pretty colors.
And just under $15 USD without shipping.
I don't know any others as good in that range, lol. I'm not an expert on this stuff. But yep, I love these.

Wow!! Awesome, thank you! So cheap
I ordered the blue one. It will likely last awhile for me because I will only be using it to chat with you guys, plus when I'm not using it, it'll be folded up with the rest of my electronics
I'm kind of a neat freak lol!
Only danger would be cats chewing the cord.

Only danger would be cats chewing the cord.
Love that, my little darlings *cough* chewed the cord of my $100+ headset cord into multiple pieces a few months back... too bad I can't make them earn the money I had to spend to buy another headset...
(thanks for the link btw, I'm sure I'll be stupid & it won't be the last time)
I can't wait
Going to be so much fun playing with you all ![]()
