I though that was tied to romance.

Merrill Friend or Foe.  This is the dialogue choice I was referring to.  You get it in both Friendship and Rivarly arcs.

EDIT:  Screenshot.  Romance ass the "Stay with me." line.  The three base choices are available without romance.

I'm disappointed that there's no option for "I killed Kolgrim and his dragon despite defiling the Ashes," just as I suspect that some are disappointed by "Kolgrim is dead and his dragon is not" not being an option. Those both had potential to effect this game that I fear is being missed, and I doubt they'll be added later because it's less than a month to release.

The dragon just leaves after Kolgrim is dead if you don't kill her; I doubt she'd make much of a difference in the plot. I understand your disappointment with the former, though.

That video is a romance one.

I suppose that's fair.

Another point I forgot to mention is that there's no option for killing Genitivi to protect the Ashes in the Keep.

What was that for? I was looking forward to seeing that acknowledged when I imported my Chantry-hating DE. I mean, it's not like it'd even be difficult to handwave the Chantry still finding the place, since you don't get the option to toss lit pitch on his notes or his house afterwards.

I am hoping the voiceover is just a broad overview of the main plot points and not indicative of what will and will not be reflected in the world state. After all, it seems like and awful waste of effort to make all those little choices if that turns out to be the case.

It clearly is. I mean, I think I read that we know Dagna returns, and Varric doesn't mention her in the VO. (That was Varric?)

It's kind of long as is without going through every choice actually available in the keep.

Genitivi isn't important by that point, all that matters is the presence or absence of the dragon cult. For exactly the reasons you mentioned in your handwave.

Yeah, that's Brian Bloom doing the voice over. My point is that just because the voice over doesn't mention the romances doesn't mean they won't turn up to be important somehow.

Since the romances can also turn up dead, especially the DA2 ones, I also wouldn't be expecting much of significance though, but that's been my feeling before I ever got into the Keep.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the EO turns out to be the Ostagar Prisoner?

I'd at least have liked that it be acknowledged, though.

I dont think they are fully finished with the keep yet? Im not sure if im free to say anything but we've been told we are allowed to discuss the keep openly now so i dont see why not? (if i find out im not ill remove my post) but the fate of Genitivi choice has been acknowledged by the keep team. All ill say in case. But we will just wait and see if the keep will have things added to it or not?

I would imagine any choices that have an effect on Inquisition would be available by now. If the art isn't ready then they can put in placeholders (which they had already been doing in the past).

The choices that impact DAI are absolutely already there.  What I'd love to see is which options existed when content was locked in May--anything added after that can't impact the game as anything other than codex entries.

Whether Hawke and Cullen were friends or not will affect what Cullen says if you ask him about the events at Kirkwall or how he knew Hawke, and will change conversation dynamics if they meet ingame.

^^ absolutely. The choices that effect DA:I will already exist in the Keep. But the keep will be used for future DA games and also its nice seeing your choices in there if they matter or not. I for one love everything.....except that there isnt the old oak tree :crying:

I think the larger the square the more it'll effect DA:I.

Does anyone actually remember this being a choice in-game? (Not that I'm complaining, just don't remember!)

I'm currently making a Douch!Hawke playthrough and I will find out if I can get Cullen to hate Hawke.

There are conversations with Cullen at the Gallows, independent of actual quests, where Hawke can express that s/he thinks of Cullen as a friend or has respect for him...or where s/he can do the opposite. I remember one in Act III, but I think there's also one in Act II.

Now that I think about it, I think Nathaniel might be set for an appearance in DA:I, the Keep asks about his fate not once but twice.

I remember one game where Cullen called me a good friend.

Drawing a complete blank on what I did to get called that tho.

Seems like a logical guess to me. And perhaps Oghren as well since they asked questions about him but ignored Sigrun and Velanna completely.

Surprised on the Gamlen options, who the hell is that chick with him or amulet option?
