I was a tad amused that Ser Landry being alive or dead was apparently a plot important decision. I always assumed that most people simply killed him for his rather annoying "I demand satisfaction, ser!" attitude and because if you convinced him to stand down, a bug meant you didn't get any XP as a result?

Although, it's a little sad that the fate of that guy is actually more important than that of Velanna and Sigrun?

I think it's simply because they focused on DA:O and DA:II a lot more than they did on Awakening.

They might still add more stuff to that. (Since they add things frequently)

Well I am fairly satisfied. I predict Bevin will help us in a side mission in the Red Cliff area and maybe be able to recruit him. I still don't see why what we do with the Ostagar deserter prisoner matters at all. How could he possibly survive?

The Ostagar prisoner scene include a guard who could have survived though...

Still, to make a distinction between persuading the guard to give his luch and buying said lunch when there are only two options "Support or Didn't Support" when dealing with Anders' actions.

Yeah I could have done with an in-between option for that one.

i get the feeling that whether, or not, you cleared out the crimson oars will affect the game. If they are spared then they are possible allys for the inquisition. Some choices in the keep were very surprising, when i first saw them in the closed beta....(especially the one about the ostagar prisoner.)

Whether you bought the food or not will decide the final battle against the Elder One!

Who wouldn't demand satisfaction? I'd demand satisfaction everyday. In this case though, the particular satisfaction would be to hear from Velanna's character again.

Alas, I cry.

It's true that demanding satisfaction is awesome, but since Landry is so gung-ho about it, I'm just amazed that if you spare him, he wasn't killed a million times over in the amount of duels he's probably gotten himself into in the decade since!

"My toast is a little dry... you there, servant! I demand you meet me at dawn, where we shall meet our cutlery utensils in mortal combat!"

With how many choices Merrill has I feel confident that she'll make an appearance. I'm hoping they'll adhear to the prologue for once and have her appear with a Hawke who romanced her.

That was my hope after answering those questions in the Keep. I am really hoping for a Merrill sighting.

I'm wondering how big meanie Hawke could have possibly managed to make poor sweet Tallis mad...after being lied to, used and turned into a complete idiot in the DLC.

If anyone should be mad, it's Hawke.

I remember reading a short fanfic about that, if you're interested.

He was dead in the return to Ostagar DLC.

Dead, burned, and unburied. In most settings that would mean he would be back, but I'm not sure how ghosts work in Dragon Age.

That Hawke's attitude made me lol

Anyway, are there going to be more options? Because I'd like to know more about our choices in the elven Alienage or the CE intro.

I do think some are more important than how you spoon-fed the prisoner.

I think they use the part about the prisoner, in particular, as a way to judge the character of your Warden. Alistair can reference that your Warden went to great lengths providing for those less fortunate (bought the meal), or that your Warden was a ruthless killer (killed the prisoner) and so on and so forth. The same with how you dealt with Ruck and his mother in Orzammar. Since they couldn't just add a personality barometer to the Warden as they could with Hawke, they have to discern the Warden's personality otherwise.

What I find most interesting is how Anders' choice is worded, as to whether or not you approved of his actions. I don't know if that's an extremely clumsy way of determining friendship or rivalry, or if the approval choice is tied solely to the star dialogue option you get if he's on 100% friendship--I tried to test this, but my own saves never get uploaded for some reason.

Here's my interpretation: Some of the choices present in the keep don't correspond exactly to a singular choice in-game, but are there to allow you to dictate aspects of your characters' personalities.  So to use Anders as an example, you pick the way you want your Hawke to have felt about Anders' actions (regardless of whether you expressed those feelings in-game), and that will determine the feelings NPC Hawke expresses on the matter when he appears in Inquisition.  "Hawke was/was not friends with Cullen" is another example.  There's no distinct, decisive "be friends/be enemies with Cullen" choice in Dragon Age II, but they want the way Hawke and Cullen react to each other in Inquisition to correspond to the player's ideas about those two characters' relationship.

Can anyone shed some light on the "Handed the conspirators over to Meredith/Orsino" choice? I don't recall ever making such a choice.

I think it's just who gave you the Best Served Cold quest - Meredith or Orsino.

If that is the case - and it makes sense - I wish there were some other options like, "Cullen respected Hawke, even if he didn't like her", or something like that. Friendship or not seems a bit reductive.

I think respect will be something of a given, since no matter what, Cullen chooses to fight alongside Hawke at the end of DA2.
