Okay, I've done everything, followed every suggestion, reloaded the DAO software twice, and still none of my DAO characters show in the Keep, not even those I created with the stand-alone character editor.

 

It should be noted that none of my DAO characters, achievements, or screen shots created with the Origin version of the game software show in any BSN profiles associated with my BSN account I use the same login in both places. So if my BSN account is where the Keep retrieves character information, then that explains why I have no current character information in the Keep. But it doesn't explain why BSN is not picking up anything from the Origin version of the game.

 

The only DAO characters that show in the Keep are old characters that came from some old profiles in my BSN account. Those characters are long gone from my game and the DAO files on my computer. This is what I see when I click on diagnostics:

 

Error Code 1000 - No characters were found in your online storage.

 

There two other profiles in my BSN account but they are both from other computers with other DAO software versions (not my Origin copy), which are long gone. I cannot find any information, no characters, achievements, or screen shots from my current version of the game. Yes, I have all the upload boxes checked.

 

I have tried dealing with EA technical support on this problem, on and off for over two years (yes, it has remained unresolved for that long). I have even been escalated past the second level support (twice even) but the higher level never contacted me and I can't contact them. Then I have to start over with first line support and convince them to escalate me once more. I know the problem lies somewhere in my BSN account, but I can never get to someone who can help. Now even less since it is legacy and no one wants to work on it. 

 

I guess I will never get any of my current characters into the Keep unless someone here can tell me how to get my BSN account to sync with my current DAO game software. No offense, but EA technical support was useless for this problem.

The BSN profile section is now gone, basically even when it existed it was finicky about uploading characters.

 

I think it works with the game sending to the old profile section and then the keep intercepts it.

So, any explanation why characters are not getting from my DAO game to the Keep? DA II characters upload just fine. Both games are played through Origin. Both games use the same login ID, as does Origin and the Keep. DA II characters and achievements upload. Nothing from DAO uploads except old stuff from an old stand-alone version of the game, that went away when the old computer it was on went away. The only place the information still exists are in some very old game profiles on BSN. I am mystified.

I assume you played DA:O before DA2? (and logged into your account in it)

The past couple of weeks, I've been playing through the different origin stories that I missed out on. This of course means I've made some new Wardens. Can I get them into the Keep?

I should add, I've only got the one account, I've only ever played the game on the one PC, and the achievements for completing those origins are uploading to the Keep, just not the characters.

The only thing I can suggest is disable any mods and the console. Other than that it's touch and go

I already tried everything and nothing works, my characters in Dragon Age 2 is on the Keep normally, but Dragon Age Origins characters don't, I can't upload screenshots, my profile in BSN says I have 0 characters and I don't know how to fix this, someone can help me?

I cannot believe that I STILL cannot view my saves on the BSN OR THE KEEP.

I've tried EVERYTHING! Staff isn't very helpful. Asking the SAME questions over again.

 

NO I did NOT play DA2 first. All my DA2 files are showing up. 

I tried uninstalling the game. Disabling mods. Deleting mods. Force starting. You name it, I've tried it.

 

I played both DA:O and DA2 on PS3 then on PC. DA2 profiles are showing up, even the ones I played on the PS3 AND PC. But only my FIRST TWO WARDEN profiles are showing up. By FIRST TWO I mean the first two profiles I ever made, when I first got the game.

 

I got DA:O and DA2 from a Humble Bundle deal a few months ago and I cannot register my games. I can't even register my PS3 hard copies because they were used, someone might have already registered them? I don't even know if that's an issue with getting my Warden profiles to work.

 

I'm starting to doubt that this issue will ever be resolved. If I could ONLY make a character in Keep then I'd be "happier". All the hours I put into my latest playthrough and basically I'm being told. "too bad, good luck with DA:I"

You can upload an image for the portrait and rename the defaults. That is essentially creating a character as long as you don't have to create multiple characters of the same class/race/gender/origin combination.

This method worked for me right up until they took the Keep out of beta (ie, it stopped working after the last update).

The old Bio site no longer takes DA:O chars at all, it seems (I now have 28 of 50 files up)--I tested by trying to upload some screenshots--no dice. So, looks like this method is now defunct. Pity.

If I put my disc copy of DAO into origins how do I load up all of the DLC that I have including witch hunt and awakenings?

This workaround used to work for me, every time, without fail. However, after the very last Keep update (April), it no longer does. The old DA: Origins games (not on Origin but disk) now send you to the Keep if you try to "view player profile" while logged in, so my thought is that in an attempt to "fix" this issue, all uploads to the old BSN have been hobbled, and so the Keep picking it up from there no longer works at all. (It does still work for DA2 games--but that may be because I have the digi DA2 via Origin).

Unfortunately, the Keep still doesn't recognise disk-profiled heroes from DA:O even when you have the same account with the little Orange Trojan as you did with DA:O and the fix formerly worked.

Can I get some help please? I am trying to get my warrior on Dragon Age Keep but it's not working.

I tried following the steps mentioned here but that didn't work.

On my player profile, it does say the following: "Your Dragon Age: Origins data is now read-only. Please see the forum post for details." So I checked that forum post, but everything seems to be okay. I never enabled the developer console, I have the data uploading option enabled and such.

Anyone know a solution for this?
