I'm trying to sync my current dragon age origins character but I can't. And when I dI'd the walkthrough it said invalid persona/ game combination. And so I did it the other way. Still said the same thing. The Keep is uploading 7 of my custom Wardens but not my current one I'm playing now.

I tried your suggestions and can't find that Player Profile Diagnostics page. I've had access to the Keep for quite a while and crafted five world states. It sort've bugs me that after having been patient, my previous game characters have never appeared. I'm willing to go in and delete saves that have gone wonky, but not being able to get to this page leaves that all up in the air.

My game characters have never appeared either. The one workaround I've found that actually worked for me is to download the standalone DA:O Character Creator and recreate your character in that. Give him/her the same name as your existing Hero and click the Upload button. In my experience, it then takes about 30 minutes to an hour to appear in the Keep.  Hasn't failed me yet!

Sadly, there's no equivalent standalone DA2 Character Creator.

Which Character Creation tool are people refering to? I don't want to download the wrong one. (Partly because i have given up on waiting for my Origins to Sync)

So, as soon as i did the character creator. Did a simple remake. It instantly appeared on the BSN. However, i do not understand by my origins isn't giving me the original. It bugs me, i can live with it but it bugs me.

EDIT : So i even tried syncing my Origins (Did it from Awakening mainly) Nothing has appeared on BSN. So there has to be somthing blocking the data or its not sending. I checked most of everything that could block the data and i couldn't find anything.

Some things in life are not meant to be understood. Just sit back and take another hit of that lyrium!  ;-)

Is there a way to view the page thats blank that would have all our DA:O characters on it like how they are presented in DA2? the diagnostic doesn't show much info about them other than name

So I did everything again and of course it didn't work. Interestingly enough I took someones advice to try to upload a screenshot to see what it would do and it's telling me my online storage is at max capacity but all I can see is 3 of my DA II characters up there and I'm trying to upload my Dragon Age Origins stuff. I tried doing the Diagnostics thing and got invalid persona/id combination. Am I doing something wrong?

I give up now. BW Social won't recognize my Origins data and the Keep won't recognize my Origins characters. It will be easier to just recreate my Warden in the Keep, when they add character creation, instead of continuously trying to make it sync properly.

I really want to thank the author of this workaround :D. It worked like a charm for me, although I had to save/load a character a few times to make sure that the character profile would upload to the diagnostics page/storage. Only when it's there, can the Keep see the character and sync it.

A bit of advice, though, for those who will try this approach :) Make sure that you haven't reached the 50 files per storage limit (like the initial author of the thread has warned), because one character consumes 4 files. In this case if you have multiple Wardens you want synced, you might need to clear up the storage (delete screenshots, etc.)

As the initial poster to this thread has suggested, if you have wrong persona error, this means your DA:O has a different persona id than your DA2. To get the id aligned with your DA:O copy, please enter your BSN account, and in the tab on the left choose My Games -> Player Profiles. Now press on the link to the Dragon Age Origins profile. You'll see a blank page, but in your browser address line, you'll find your persona id, assosiated with DA:O. Now you can use it to access the diagnostics page. Once you're there, delete the screenshots (there are 50). Now you can upload new data, including the chars.
I hope this helps a bit :)

Unfortunately that's what I've been trying to do and it's just not working.

Here's my profile http://social.biowar...575/&v=bw_games

Here's my Dragon Age Origins (blank page) http://social.biowar...&nid=2347362897

Here's my Dragon Age 2 characters http://social.biowar...s&pid=769695769

So this is what the link should look like if its as you say http://social.biowar...e=dragonage1_pc

and I get the Invalid Persona/ID Combination error. Idk maybe you can try and see if I'm doing something wrong?

So, update for all you that didn't have the "Dragon Age: Origins" link in the page you get after you clicked on the "Change game". It's kinda complicated as hell but... it's something. Try this instead.

Go "My Games", "Dragon Age Origins" in the left menu. Copy the NID from that link.

Place that NID at the end of this link:

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?game=dragonage1ue&nid=000000000

You wil get a new page. And then you click on your Dragon Age: Origins profile there. There you'll get a different link that has the PID at the end. You that persona ID.  Put that in this link below:

http://social.bioware.com/dragonage_profile_diagnostics.php?persona_id=000000000&game=dragonage1_pc

But my best advice is this: Wait. Just wait, Bioware is working on this, they'll come up with an actual working solution and it will be before DA:I is released.

Um so some of my wardens are in the keep and some aren't, the same with my Hawkes. I got to BSN and check my info. I've registered ME, DA:O and DA2 but none of my info for origins is showing. It says I have nothing on my profile for orgins and I know this is bull**** what is going on? Its not really that big of deal, I'll use the default wardens if I have to but i just want to know why everything is AOK with ME and DA2 but not for DAO

So none of my DAO wardens were showing up except for the first one I created and she stayed at level 1. DA2 works fine for me.

Well, I did what was suggested and checked the diagnostic page. It says my files are full, which I guess is from uploading screenshots (which still uploaded as well as achievements but not my Wardens). I deleted some screenshots so that shouldn't be full anymore.

I also deleted my first Warden because I figured she was corrupt. The character XML is green, the avatar & character portrait is a red X, and the story XML has a "!".

Then, I went and logged into Origins, made sure I was logged online in the game, character upload checked yes, loaded my Canon Character & opened my last save, unequip, save, reload, equip, save. Left the game open for awhile. When I checked the diagnostic page again, she uploaded! (just her though, none of my other Wardens uploaded still)

BUT it is the same problem as before, Red X for the portrait image & avatar, and a big "!" for story XML.

Does anyone have an idea on why the story XML isn't uploading, or where I would find this at? In the files, the portrait & avatar does show up, so I don't know why it isn't uploading.

The "!" isn't actually important for you, the Keep doesn't care about that one. However, as long as there are the "X" for the portrait and avatar, the character won't upload to the Keep.

And no, I don't know why the portrait and avatar keeps uploading corrupted.Sorry.

I updated the first post with what I believe is the definitive solution. Everyone should be able to do this now, even if they don't have the link to the Dragon Age Origins profile where it should be, or they don't have Dragon Age 2. I can't however guarantee that you won't get the invalid persona ID error. It just happens to some people.

Good night everyone. And remember. Having your Warden in the Keep is not all that important. And there is an official fix for this on it's way. So you can always just wait. It's easier.

Don't know if this helps but i have finally my DAO hero in keep :).

Here is what i done:

1. From Downloadable content in game menu i turn off all mods including DLC

2. Turn off game

3. Then I cut off folders "Addins" and "packages" from C:\Users\Majka\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age

4. Disabled console

4. Again started game and load save what i want to sync

5. Made forced start

6. Unequip item save game

7. Equip item save game

8. Start sync in Keep

9. After 2 hours i have my hero there :)

Whole time in game and in keep i was log in into same origin account and in game option i have set my character profiles to upload.

On BSN profile i don't see anything. Have still read only profile for game. Don't know why but it doesn't matter.

But my hero looks horrible (missing half face) without mods hehe

Ok, well some progress.

I deleted that second Warden. This time I did what someone suggested and moved the Override file from Bioware-Packages-Core, to my desktop.

Repeated the same steps with loading the game, making sure I was logged in, force loaded my last save (Warden has no hair now lol), unequipped, save, reload, equip, save. Waited. Didn't work. Granted I didn't wait that long.

Loaded up the same character but this was tied to Witch Hunt DLC. Did the same thing with the equip/unequip. Waited a bit. This time she uploaded. Story XML didn't upload (but as pointed out not a big deal) and neither did the portrait but the avatar did!

Of course she has no hair -_-

Think I will mess with this save to get it to a default hairstyle and try again. Thanks for everyone who has posted info so far!

Wait so you should only use the original game? Not Awakening?

To be synched into the Keep?  I've only managed to get the Wardens loaded in Origins proper(the original game), to show up in the Keep.

Those Wardens loaded in Awakening, Golems, or Witch Hunt have all shown up as corrupted in some form, and won't synch to the Keep, for me.

Well, that's bullshit. Didn't they say that whatever state you left Morrigan in Witch Hunt was gonna carry over to Inquisition?

I'm not feeling this. Not only we're going to see Hawke again, but we're going to have face creation for this character so he can look all pretty and cool in Inquisition, meanwhile not only we're not going to see our Warden, but the romantic options we did for him in Witch Hunt won't be carried over to Inquisition. Middle finger for Origins fans again.

I did a whole playthrough again, carefully building my character and his relationships because it was said that even witch hunt was going to matter.

As I edited in my earlier post, you can in fact leave specific folders of override in place:

(Minor thing to note: should you have any CC-mods in Documents/Bioware/packages/override, it appears you can leave those in place as well. Just need to know which they are, those I used at least were packed into their own folders. Also goes for chargenmorphcfg.xml found in the same place, either in its own folder or in override itself should you have merged that)

Got the old portrait created way back at the start of my Dalish lass in that way, anyhow, which does sport custom hair. Just make certain to move all other contents of override, and the other contents within Documents/Bioware/packages/core out.
