Sorry people I'm not going to let morons reply with false information:
Gairnulf mentions something In this topic that isn't true:
http://forum.bioware...ly-be-on-steam/
Also, his argument is invalid, you can play a game you downloaded from Steam without even starting Steam. The fact there are people who don't know that or don't know how to do it only proves they need software like Steam
This person has absolutely no clue:
Without using a crack and or illegally obtained version of the game, then that is a 100% false statement. Any legally obtained game that's connected to Steam, and Steam only, not only requires Steam in order to install, but will also launch Steam or if it was tried to be launched without Steam will tell you it requires Steam to be installed/running regardless of how you launch it unless you're using a crack. Which of course a leaglly obtained copy, totally defeats the purpose of not wanting Steam on my computer to begin with.
Go ahead take any game you have on Steam, out of the Steam directory and either uninstall Steam completely or launch the games exe and you will see it will ask for Steam (If you uninstalled it) or launch Steam from the games exe.
This person is a clown and has absolutely no clue to how things work.
