And what proof have you that our Lord is truly dead? Urthemiel has proven that the Gods have transcended death. Who are to claim that Dumat has not done the same? You may spout the false teachings of a false god all you wish fool. It will not save you.

Well an Altar is merely an enchanted object containing the power of the object of its likeness, that and the Grey Wardens killed him via their Blood Magic, That and The Old Gods got dark spawned during the blights no matter what you all think, corruption of ones Soul is basically what the Taint is, it effects the mind and soul, and finally the body, as such, Dumat is no Longer Dumat, but is Infact, The 1st Archdemon that took a dirt nap when the Grey Wardens Killed it perma dead via their blood magic, "you cant jump with your soul to another host, Time to die" ability. any magic still in their shrines is residual, or.. here's the worse part, May not infact be the old gods magic, and infact that of "The Elder One". i can atleast prove the Maker "exhists", and that his Herald Andraste, Who may have merely been a powerful mage, using the Maker as her cover story, gave people hope in a time of Douche-Canoeing from the Tevinter Magisters. who F**cked up I might add, and caused the Darkspawn. Yeah that's on those guys, before they all try to take over things... they need to put themselves in a better light, and deal with ytheir mess.

Yes, the souls of the Old Gods jump to the nearest tainted creature, including Grey Wardens. But how can you say that any of them are truly dead? Urthemiel has avoided death by placing his soul into the body of a unborn child. Who is to say how old the Dark Ritual really is. Who are you to say that Dumat, and his brothers, did not survive the Blights using the same method used to save Urthemiel? Your "check mate" was premature.

Ok than, answer me this: Where IS Dumat.. a "GOD" would not Lessen themselves to play Anything Less than "GOD", especially a Dragon, it would not "Suffer" the Insult of being "Mortal" and being an "Equal" to Man.

did i say it wasnt ? The belief he has been revived was due to legacy so for some its "proof" of his return. I believe in magic over cults and andrastianism so anything is possible

Btw Julianos,

Bioware has been very vague about all old god info, including their supposed deaths, legacy put even more mystery by showing Dumat is not dead. A god cannot die. All we know is what the chantry says. The old gods are deities and villified by the chantry as rivals to the so called maker. It boils down to faith like anything else. Just like real world christianity villified the greek pantheon, andrastianism does the same. So if you have nothing of support to add to this old gods support thread, get lost.

New rule: like lordsaren said while we appreciate roleplaying as this is a forum make sure its constructive and lax. The past few days theres been a influx of anti-mage/tevinter sentiment and this is fine juat dont bring it in here to pick a fight. You want MT fights find a new place for that we discuss the possiblity HOWEVER unlikely of old god revival or actual theology
