Maker:8, Dumat:0

These posts are lame as fuu tbh. Somehow you've turned this into a sport. Check the forum homie. What's the ONLY nation with a thread at about 100 pages? Why has the Orlesian thread sunk 20 pages back?

That should tell you all you need to know.

Toth! Andraste lingers still in your flames

You of all the gods claimed her death and the world should not forget

O great one! Return to us!

Alighted on her brazier, everyone will see

Your servants will cry out to you

In your wake, her disciples will flee

Divine gods hear your servants, we have answered the call and returned to you! Mighty Toth be praised. Your flame burns brighter than the brightest sun! Guide us towards the golden path.

Be they star-dwelling phantoms or overgrown lizards, human deities all suck. Only the Creators aren't renowned for unleashing terrible evils upon the world.

The Maker exists only in their fragile minds. He is the trickster, who's best illusion was to convince those that he exists.

You give too much credit to the maker, to be a trickster he'd have to be real. Sadly he exists only in the mind.

Divine and radiant Lusacan peels back the curtain of night as the sun rises in the east casting it's golden light upon us. A new day dawns, and each new dawn brings us closer to the gods. I bid thee all good morning fellow children of the seven.

Soldier of the night, keeper of dreams

Lusacan, I worship thee

for my safe slumber I owe to you

Led once again from darkness to dawn

Lord, I know your power to be true

My favourite is Urthemiel, mainly because I am an English student, and he's my son.

*snip*

Its curious that Dumat isn't shown as a dragon. Is he a shapeshifter, maybe? Or perhaps this statue is really old and his early followers assigned him this form when he didn't have one/they didn't know what he looked like? Or... maybe its not actually his altar? Nah, forget that last one, that's heresy.

It is identical t the shrine in which Merrill performs her ritual. It is nothing signifigant plotwise, just another reused texture, something DA2 is infamous for.

I love the Old Gods, they're shrouded in mystery. Are they really gods? Why did Dumat betray the magisters? Are they good or evil? What's their relationship with the Grey Wardens? I hope at least some of these questions are answered in Inquistion.

Afternoon supplication to the god of mystery:

Blow smoke in their eyes - mighty Razikale
Confuse their steps and cripple their conviction
Put out the lights in the shadows to trap my rivals in ignorant mystery
O Razikale - Lead only me to the Sun
Unveil the truth of all things cloaked in heaven's lost history

They are not dragons. They are gods, they chose a draconic form as their mortal shell. Praise Dumat!

Dumat at the least was evil, since he was scheming and killing and attempting to conquer long before he became an Archdemon. Like I said before, he's pretty much the mastermind of the general Darskpawn horde and its goals.

I would love to hear more about the Old Gods and could totally see my Qunari character becoming interested in them and worshiping them. She doesn't follow the Qun and doesn't consider herself an Andrastrian (or whatever they call themselves).

Evil is a mortal concept. Dumat is no schemer, men scheme. He killed noone until his physical bodybwas twisted by the taint. On the contrary Dumat is a benevolent god to his followers, and a fearsome foe to his enemies.

I find the Old Gods interesting, and I certainly hope they won't be antagonists, but my Inquisitor recognizes no one as a deity.

I think Corypheus would disagree.
