Dumat can even grant Hawke a blessing in Legacy by placing the sacrifices at the Alter of Dumat. He's still around. The wardens were wrong when they thought they could destroy him! I don't see no Maker granting no blessing to Hawke.

Well im Ten and O, with actual canonical "facts", but the Tevinter heretics are putting up a pretty good blind faith defence so....we arent getting anywhere...its impressive.

So, according to your tenets, Dumat sent the Magisters to the Golden City for...reasons, since there is no Maker.
In doing so, they unleashed an army of monstrosities that not only proved a threat to the Old Gods' avatar to the point where they buried not just their heads, but their whole bodies in the earth; but also destroyed the empire of the faithful.
And, in their incompetence, the Old Gods couldn't even prevent a rabble of mindless creatures from breaking through their "self-imposed" imprisonment and Tainting them which ultimately leads to them being killed by mortals.
