Dragon Age 2 removed that option from warriors and it sucked I licked that my pc looks so cool wielding 2 big blades not pathetic daggers so will this option be implemented in DAI?

Probably nope aswell whitch is a bummer.

Nope, but there are two different kinds of daggers to wield: normal slashing daggers and stabbing daggers.

Whitch kinda means the only practical appeal for being a rogue is the lockpicking.

Some of us prefer daggers and bows over swords, even if they were an option. Thankfully they're not.

No. Longswords are large objects that must be manipulated with two hands on the long grip (that is made to accommodate two hands). There are literally no advantages to using two swords. Historically, the most that was done was a sword (not a long one) and a dagger. Do not regard daggers as being inferior or puny weapons. In closer quarters, a longer sword is of no use compared to a nimble thrust-delivering weapon that can be handled with much more ease.
And then I read this was for a Role Playing Game.

Why is it "thankful" they're not. You're saying it's a GOOD thing, that it's BETTER that they're restricting us.
I don't understand why you would say that.

I meant D&D longswords not real life ones. So a sword the size of a viking one.

No, unfortunately. :/

''Viking'' swords were small.

Not too sure about this image though. The second (counting from the left) sword's pommel looks like one of a medieval arming sword.

They were indeed meant to be used with one hand. Vikings were also famous for their shields. This barbaric image you have of them swinging great bars of metal around is wrong.

They'll probably implement it in the future due to popular demand. It probably isn't an option at the moment because dual sword would need to use very different animations than daggers. Constantly using dual strikes, parries, and distracting flurries. The dual daggers are all about stealth, backstabs, and cunning. That being said it would probably just look awkward with swords. Just keep asking for it politely, you'll never what they might decide to whip up. I'd like to see some spears for a change ![]()
edit: posture is another factor. I'd like my warriors to stand tall and be imposing. which again probably won't work with dagger animations.

I can understand not liking the ridiculous two-longsword style.

And I can't understand disliking the option for "the ridiculous two-longsword style."

Suspension of disbelief has it's limits.

I wouldn't say it's ridiculous. The shield fighters are in the same boat, they only use one hand to swing. With the proper training, endurance, and imagination a fighter with 2 longswords would be possible but at the costs of differing pros and cons.

No, but you can DW short swords. They call them "daggers" in this game. I think it's like how guns were called "daggers" in that movie.

Suspension of disbelief has it's limits.
Apparently that limit is not at physical impossibilities, such as breaking down iron doors with a shield and a mean look, but merely at extremely high dexterity.
AKA, it has nothing to do with suspension of disbelief and everything to do with "I don't like this, I'm glad other people can't do it."

People are leaping high into the air in plate armour, rogues are doing multi backflips, and warriors are splitting the earth with their swords.
Wait, that guy is using two swords! My immersion!

Ok maybe they should let you. But it should result in a severe penalty to your stats, accompanied by laughs and confused looks from enemies.

I think it should be like dual-wielding in Divinity II: For the first 2/3rds of the game you're underpowered because you're trying to put so much into dex. You're weak and not doing too much damage. But if you stick with it, near the end it gets extremely powerful. High attack rate, decent amount of damage, combined with evading most attacks (because of high dex).
