Like removing Hawkeye, since aside from helping Loki when he's brainwashed, he doesn't really do anything relevant for the rest of the movie? Poor Hawkeye... I like the actor and character, but they just have never had anything decent for him to do in either movie he's been in? Hopefully AoU will fix that and give him an actual decent subplot for once?
It really is a shame because Hawkeye is awesome.
He was supposed to have a bigger role in Winter Soldier, but Renner was busy with another movie at the time I believe.
Though we can always take the headcanon he was going on cool adventures with Mockingbird at the time...
Fighting Dire wraiths with Rom SpaceKnight...
I dunno something.

It's at least something.
Makes him slightly above extended cameo status.

Well, Joss has already teased that there's something up with him in Age of Ultron. I just didn't see it suitable for him to have a big part in the first avengers story arch. The Winter Soldier's scene would have been cool, But it wasn't a necessity. Speaking of AoU, I heard a rumor about the movie being 3 hours long. Don't know if it's legit or not. And not planning to look in order not to be spoiled. Just wanted to let you guys know.

I think Joss has earned Marvels confidence with the last Avengers to make a 3 hour movie if he felt like it.
But it would give everyone ample screentime.

I wouldn't mind that if the story is large enough to fit its duration.

Another thing that bothers me about Fox's X-Men is Mystique. She was just poorly portrayed in the original x-men movies and the prequels as well.

Because that's related to the current discussion.
And not flame bait at all.

Only thing that worries me is that Joss is becoming one of Anitta Sarkesians Cheer squad.
Dude i love the guy but i hope it dosnt effect his work.

He's always been like this.
It's just more noticeable now because he's a higher profile filmmaker now.
But he's not nearly as bad as Anita.

Nah, I thought she was strong and confident and knew who she was in the original films, but in the prequels... not so much.
I like JL as Mystique, but the character seemed to have some major dependency issues in First Class, jumping from Charles, to Beast, to Magneto throughout the movie depending on who validated her the most, that didn't really work for me? I get that she's trying to figure out who she is and find herself, but it seemed to be more based upon what the men in her life wanted from her, than something she came to herself?
And it was even more hard to accept her just deciding at the end of First Class to be like "Welp, evil now... sorry brah!" and leave Charles on the beach, having just been shot in the back, considering that she'd spent her entire life growing up alongside him and loving him like a brother (and more). Of course, they might have written her arc better in DOFP, but I've not gotten around to actually watching that yet?
But as others had said, this is completely unrelated to the topic... so back to Spidey?
I like Jeremy Jahns take on what they should do for Spidey's origins this time around, since we're probably getting a reboot again. Just have Deadpool show up to interrupt Spidey on a ledge reflecting on his origins, turning to the camera and giving us the cliffnotes version, telling us to enjoy the reboot, before leaving as aburptly as he arrived...

I don't have anything really substantial to report today.
But Hugh Jackman has released a statement that he wants to keep playing Wolverine.
http://ca.ign.com/ar...e-until-he-dies
Which I won't argue against. In fact I think it's respectable he's been able to go this long. In spite of the younger actors getting cast as the other X-Men.
Also because I think he's a fantastic Wolverine. Especially in the last 2 films.
Still no ETA on X-Men Days of Future Past Rogue Cut though...

I updated the OP with the new Age of Ultron poster.
Looking at the cast list on it. Pretty much everyone seems to be in the movie.

Visions a fairly meh character in the Marvel Universe anyway.
But since I really like MCU Jarvis I think Paul will do a good job.
Because as of right now, this is the only cool think Vision has done imo.

They need to figure out some way to have Iron Lad/Kang the Conqueror/Immortus enter the MCU and have it make sense.
I don't know why, but there's something inherently awesome about a character who's the younger alternate timeline version of a future megavillain that he's now fighting against, with a counterpart from an even further future that pulled off another heel face turn?
Sure, people are sometimes hesistant to throw in time travel, but we've got Asgard and it's associated other realms and the entire weirdness of GotG now established, so it's not like it'd be out of place with how weirder the universe is rapidly becoming?

Kang is pretty awesome. It'd be nice to see him show up.
Considering Doctor Strange usually deals with interdimensional demons and Lovecraftian-esque old ones the MCU is certainly going to be a much stranger place.
Hell, James Gunn wanted to add in elements from Rom SpaceKnight into Guardians. And Rom SpaceKnight is a weird comic. Awesome. But weird.
