Watched it two weeks ago, but I guess I can now just vent my thoughts in here.

I thought it was alright. I still think Winter Soldier remains Marvel's best movie to date. The highlight for me was Vision. Really enjoyed his character.

Had to chuckle at the Prima Nocta joke, but in the end the Ant-Man trailer they showed before the movie started looked more fun.

I enjoyed the movie. I found Ultron to be best villain so far in Marvel. Kinda funny how human he was despite his appearance.

Well that is one of Ultron's traits

Just wait till Jessica Jones and Luke Cage get introduced Jimmy :P
You'll get even madder.
Also was I the only one that thought Hawkeye was the best part of Age of Ultron?

Because while Ultron had his moments. He's not as cool as his comic self and doesn't look enough like a bunny.
Wilson Fisk remains the best MCU villain IMO.

I really like Fisk. If he had the power of Ultron, the movie would have ended pretty horribly.

And yeah, I'm fine with comic book players being introduced like Luke Cage or Iron Fist... but neither of them can tip the balance of power the way some powers can.

We've got an immortal who can heal any wound, someone who can generate and control lightning, someone who can teleport (and apparently hear...?) anywhere on the globe, someone who can see the future, Skye (with the power to control the vibrations of anything, which can mean pretty much any sort of power they want to), plus who knows what other powered people... all just hanging out in a village, chilling out.

In the comics, huge events played out frequently where everyone all joined together and had crossover issues where their powers all came into play. The Avengers movies are the equivalent of that, but those in second tier sources like TV shows will never be called to the big leagues. Which is fine with a show like Daredevil or Agent Carter. But AoS is now introducing pretty regularly equal-tier level characters who will never be even considered for the movies, despite their obvious value (in story terms) of being there.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. SHIELD should be about fighting humans, not supers. They shouldn't have a single character in the show that coildn't be bested by Captain America in a one-on-one confrontation, let alone a power like Iron Man or Thor.

And I will never forgive them for how they treated Galactus in Rise of the Silver Surfer...

Galactus in that movie is essentially a more stupid version of Gah-Lak-Tus from the Ultimate continuity.

Guy-in-a-purple-helmet-and-skirt Galactus MUST be the version they go with in live-action.

@ Jimmy: They're making an Inhumans movie, slated to release in 2019.

If Civil War is done right, then it will bring alot of that to light in the films.

Or it should.

And Infinity War should have everyone in it. No question.

Ok, reading through that.

Where was the rape and racism stuff from?

I don't remember any of that in the movie.

The Rape thing came from a JOKE Tony made when trying to lift mjolnir. about reinstateing a law that allows the King to sleap whith a wife onher wedding night.

raceism? I dunno i guess the Hulk isnt the right shade of Green.

Actually it kills the Cap.

...Thor wasn't in Civil War.

Unless I'm missing a reference.

The Russo's are taking over.

Oh. Ok. That's a throwaway line that I forgot about.

Well I mean he isn't the right Green but that's beside the point.

Yep, re-watched Captain America 2 after AoU, and personally it triumphs over AoU in a furious fashion.

But oh boy, Russo's directing Civil War and Infinity War 1 & 2

I thoroughly enjoyed Age of Ultron, myself.

And apparently, there's an extended cut coming out in Blu Ray later this year.

Color me intrigued.

Anyone see the after Creddits where Anita came out and told you why the movie was sexist?

To me the movie could only be made better if Hank and Jan were in the 1st movie i akways loved Ultrons Eadopus vomplex for the Wasp. (I like Jocasta.)

If the Black Widow thing has gotten this bad. I'm already calling it. AKA Jessica Jones is going to be called sexist because of Jessica's background with The Purple Man.

I doubt they'd do a Jessica Jones series and not let her keep her powers.

And I want Rom Spaceknight in Guardians 2.

The prima noctis joke? Sure, that's probably in bad taste, but that's Tony Stark. He IS a bit of a sexist and he certainly objectivifies women. It's just strange to complain about in-character writing.

I imagine the racism stuff is probably tied to Rhodes/War Machine being the obvious but monkey of the Avengers.

So overall the complaints are pretty groundless. At least in my view.

Though the Black Widow scene was pretty ridiculous. But I should add I haven't wasted my time with this nonsense so I don't know what Whedon is accused of doing. I just think equating not being able to have kids with being an uncontrollable rage monster is pretty nonsensical.

Was that the implication with Rhodey?

I thought he was being the straight man to all the weirdos around him like always.
