It's been confirmed multiple times they won't retread the origin story.
It's still weird that they're going back to High School without doing the origins
College Spider-Man like the animated series in the 90s would be so much better ![]()
Lol, I had completely forgotten about General Ross.

My only two gripes off the top of my head
One of my biggest gripes actually had nothing to do with the movie itself, but rather how it made other movies irrelevant. Namely, Iron Man 3.
Let's go through the list:
Iron Man 1 - introduced Tony, Pepper, Rhodey and the entire Marvel universe (crucial)
Hulk - introduced Hulk, gave first tie in to expanded universe with the after-credits scene with Tony Stark (crucial)
Iron Man 2 - gave first nods to a wider SHIELD presence, introduced Black Widow (somewhat important)
Thor - introduced Thor and all of Asgard as well as space in general (crucial)
Captain America - introduced Cap, tied in with first Infinity Gem with the Tessaract (crucial)
Avengers - United team, presence of aliens revealed to Earth, major invasion, introduced Maria Hill, involves two Infinity Gems (crucial)
Iron Man 3 - introduced Extemis, Pepper now has powers... maybe?... War Machine is now named Iron Patriot, Tony exits the super hero game and destroys all of his suits and his drone robots (totally skippable, for reasons below)
Thor 2 - introduced Aether/Reality Infinity Gem, Convergence occured, Thor permanently on Earth, Loki's on the throne of Asgard (crucial)
Winter Soldier - SHIELD shut down, Nick Fury no longer director, Hail Hydra, Bucky revealed as Winter Soldier (crucial)
Guardians - introduced guardians, expanded space significantly, Power Infinity Gem revealed, first extended scenes of Thanos (crucial)
Ultron - introduced Ultron, introduced Vision, more infinity gem info, reveal of Inhumans (Quiksilver + Scarlet Witch) end game with new SHIELD/Avengers set up (crucial)
Now, look at Iron Man 3. Extremis is totally forgotten (it was barely given lip service in Agents of Shield), Pepper is assumed cured, I guess? It mentions she is running Stark and doesn't mention she has super strength, healing and ability to glow Orange... Iron Patriot is back to War Machine.
But most of all, look at Tony. From the very first scene, we are shown he is not only back in a suit, but that he has multiple suits AND he's created a mini-peace keeping unit out of a number of automated iron man-esque bots. So... that entire scene with Pepper at the end where he's walking away from all of this was just a big lie? What point did it have if they knew this was the direction they were taking with Age of Ultron?
Anyway, that's probably more of a gripe with Iron Man 3 than this movie, but the fact that they didn't even mention Tony getting back on the horse seemed silly.

It's iffy edited, and I didn't make it, but it made me chuckle.

What will happen to Vision when Thanos takes the Mind Gem, though?
Well, the precedent for that would be Warlock, who held the Soul Gem in the comics. It was as simple as plucking it from his forehead once you incapacitated him. No damage, other than losing some power.

I haven't seen Iron Man 3 and have only seen bits and pieces of 2, but in the other continuities, Iron Patriot and War Machine are the names of the armor and the person wearing that specific suit. I.E. the suit decked out to look like Captain America is THE Iron Patriot suit, and the suit loaded up with all kinds of guns is the War Machine suit. So if Rhodie is wearing the War Machine armor, discards it, then takes up the Patriot armor, he's no longer War Machine but is instead Iron Patriot (and vice versa when he puts on the War Machine armor).

I think the only way Iron Patriot comes back now is if, now that Spider-Man characters can be in the MCU, Norman Osborn takes the armor for himself like he did in the comics.

BYE, POTTER!!

Then I saw that Furious 7 might take the third highest-grossing film spot, knocking The Avengers to fourth.

Even so, we still gotta go after James Cameron.
