He would've been a pretty awesome Hawkeye but I doubt it would've done much for his career. I was surprised he also auditioned for Star Lord but I am glad James Gunn went with Chris Pratt.

Yeah, I think Pratt is great in that role.

Fox has to make a Fantastic Four movie. And by has to, I mean they will legally lose the rights to the franchise if they don't exercise the option.

So if they are making a new FF movie, would you rather they just repeat the 2005 movie, with your standard cosmic ray origin story, standard Reed and Sue romance arc, standard Human Torch and Thing feud? Same exact chafacters that have been done to death by now?

I can't believe I'm defending this movie, because it looks like trash. But the casting of the Human Torch is not the reason for it.

Also, it's not like we didn't have a dozen origin movies or VASTLY different quality. Same story basically, yes - but done BETTER. All superhero stories are basically the same when you get down to it.

I don't disagree... which is why making a fuss that someone has a deeper tan than the comic books is somehow a betrayal of the highest order seems very silly.

I would just stick to calling her Ms. Marvel, considering there's DC's Captain Marvel (now known as Shazam, but a lot of people still refer to him as Captain Marvel) and Mar-Vell Captain Marvel (the Kree character).

Yeah everyone just kinda ignores new52 changes so he's still captain marvel lol.

But the Kree Captain marvel died off in the 80s and the name hopscotched between people for decades. Ms Marvel decided to finally succeed him as Captain Marvel. And appointed some stretchy girl as the new ms marvel.

Which is a move I don't like at all for two reasons.

1) ms marvel had just grown out of being a captain marvel knockoff, and recently grew in popularity, cementing herself as a separate superhero, with her own iconic costume and everything, to the point that most people forgot she was ever the Supergirl to MarVells Superman.

To go through decades of identity searching (ms marvel, warbird, binary, etc) only to settle into an iconic role as Marvels answer to wonder woman....only to then revert back to a copy of captain marvel. Why marvel?!

2) the new Ms Marvel. Seems like marvel forgot that pre civil war, Carol gave her original ms marvel costume and blessings to Ultra Girl. As in they already had a successor primed and ready, so what's up with the new girl?

Everything that makes a character is part of the character. Race and skin color included.
Don't change things for no good reason. (And no, MUH DIVERSITY is not a good reason)

You have superheroes that match the desired race/sex! Use them! Expand on them.
Failing that, create new ones.
Don't frak with existing ones.

If they really wanted a black guy in ff, should a taken the chance to introduce Luke Cage replacing a benched Johnny, not replace Johnny with essentially a new character with fire powers.

To be honest i like her as Cap M more than Miss Marvel She earned the Title the same as Dick Grayson earned the Batman mantle

and to be honest as mutch as i love her i liked the Warbird Costume better.but i love the new look.

But the problem is she already HAD surpassed Mar vell but now she fell back under his shadow by reverting to being a copy of him again.

Like Dick being batman was always just a temporary thing till Bruce came back and everyone knew it. He's Nightwing, not Batman, so that's not the best example.

Well its like if Dick Grayson suddenly returned to being Robin after decades of establishing himself as Nightwing.


As is, she's almost as bad as hank pym for constantly swapping out superhero identities lol.

No because this isn't something exclusive to this ff remake, its just the most obvious/high profile example. Its been happening before and it will keep happening and I'm sick of it.

If you aren't going to put any effort into being at least being faithful enough for the character to be recognize able as who they are supposed to be, don't bother calling it an adaptation at all.


For example. If they had just not called this fantastic four, it could have been a cool sci fi series that obviously took a few elements from the fantastic four. As is though, they call it fantastic four when only Sue and Reed are present. Otherwise we have Rockslide, Hotspot, and Dr Hacker.

Like back in wolverine origins. I could at least recognize who wolverine gambit, and sabertooth and dead pool were supposed to be, but I literally had no idea that the Asian guy and short white guy were supposed to be the two Mavericks.

Same thing here. If he weren't explicitly standing next to the other three, I would have no idea who the hell he's supposed to be. Id be sitting there guessing "okay how many black guys with fire powers are there again? I know DC has a few but I can't think of any Marvel ones..."

Once again. If you aren't going to bother finding an actor that fits the role, don't even brother. MBJ is a nice guy, but he's a terrible choice for johnny storm.
