I have posted evidence (and trust me, that wasn't the only website with that information) that is to the contrary of that statement. Something I have done before, as this is a common, and very irritating discussion.

No, I did not. I said that the "origin stories need to stop," in order to express what I hoped to happen. I didn't even know there were plans for a new Spiderman incarnation.

If they follow the comics, it'd be a good time to bring in the Punisher. He's a Cap fanboy in the Civil War story... but ends up freaking Cap out.

There aren't any villains in that story per se though.... At least as far as I read.

It's still "teenage Peter Parker being nerdy and somewhat angsty while dealing with super powers in high school." Between movies, shows, cartoons, comics... the world has been saturated with that version the last two decades.

It's boring and it's lame and it ruins the chance to see Donald Glover in the role of a slightly older Moles Morales, dangit! #myagendarevealed

You act as though I don't want Donald Glover as Spider-Man.
I do, I brought it up several times.
I just find it pointless to ****** and whine about something that had the slimmest chance of happening.

I want Miles brought in. But without having Peter having any sort of presence in the MCU, it takes alot of the impact away of Miles' origin away. Since Peter took a bullet for Cap in the comics. So it just comes off as an affirmative action hire otherwise.

General Ross is in the movie. So I see no reason why not.

Meh. It really brings very little to the table at this point. Like a bad caricature. It was a decent story but it's like a joke you're heard a thousand times - it loses it value.
