You know what I want to see in "Infinity Wars"?

So, Natasha feels supremely guilty in MCU, right? It's her character's motivation, wiping the red off her ledger.

Then, in IWs, she gets the ultimate proof that she can move on when she smashes Thanos's massive chin with Mjolnir.

There's a lot wrong with that. If Captain America, Mr. Incorruptible Morals, can only jiggle the hammer, even the most repentant Black Widow wouldn't be able to move it an inch, let alone lift it.

It'd feel like a forced feminism thing. Natasha has too much self loathing to lift Mjiolnir.

Do we know Mjolnir's standards? They seem to be whatever the story requires them to be.

Besides, a quick google search tells me she had done it at least once. Not that that should particularly matter because Steve has apparently done it more than once and it only budged a little in the MCU.

Apperantly Captain Murica is worthy, its just not the right time yet.

Well, sure, in the COMICS. I think the MCU MeowMeow has higher standards.

I mean... in the comics, THIS happened:

They're already did an AU age of ultron comic where Natasha wields mjlonir. I wouldn't be surprised.

I did. I'm for it. The frog is obviously worthy.

I just think that the idea that moral worth being about having a really clean sheet is not at all correct. The idea of Natasha as Thor - because of who she's become due to her redemptive arc - works for me. After all Thor was a total douchenozzle in the first movie and his being worthy moment just required him to want to sacrifice himself to save others.

Has Black Widow ever done that in the movies? She always tries to find a way out, a way to neutralize a threat, a way to escape. We even saw this with Banner in AoU... she wanted to leave with him, run away and leave everything behind. She's a runner, even if she's not a killer anymore.

I could see it happening, don't get me wrong... especially with how they pointedly had her NOT try in AoU. I just don't see how she would be worthy when Hawkeye was not.

I don't think that they can sell the current Natasha as worthy. I just think that with the appropriate redemptive arc they can pull it off.

I don't think Natasha could ever do that. She is not an hero, she is an pragmatist. Someone like that doesn't have the "heroic value" to lift the hammer. She is a lot like Tony in that regard.

Ithink it is more she dose not view herself as one. Tony is a "Swashbuckler" he is out for the thrill of it all.

Nat sees it as just doing her job. like the Cop pulling a kid out of a burning car. just doing my job mam.

sure in the comics she lead the Champions and came to think of her self as a hero. but no one realy knows what the criteria is inorder to be Truly worthy.

Of course she's not an hero, she hasn't committed suicide yet!

Movie Optimus Prime certainly wouldn't be able to lift Mjolnir. His characterization just got worse and worse as the sequels went on.
