My brother and I actually came across an issue of that particular crossover a couple days ago at a flea market.

Oh! Him! I remember him as Steel Spider. It was pretty cool how he hold off the entire Thunderbolt team by himself. Until Venom went and... you know....

Man i loved that Venom.
Ok has anyone created there own Marvel characters?
Agent Venom fanboy through and through.
Agreed but i loved this version better than Flash.
Flash could be any Symbiote and be a cool character.
Venom might be cool and all, but he got nothing on CARNAGE!!

I love both Carnage and Venom very much, But my favorite Spidey villain is Mysterio.
Since it seems like Marvel is going to pull a DC and hit the "Reset" button, I'd like to see something happen.
Separate universes for Mutants and the rest of Marvel. Mutants are a really cool concept, but they just don't place nice with other settings. With millions of mutants in the world, it seems like being able to pull random powered heroes and villains out of thin air just seems to easy. The Decimation solution to this of only having a 100 or so mutants in the world stretches credibility - how did they all find each other? How do you introduce future characters without it making it seem like there are mutants crawling out of the woodwork?
I like the idea of an X-Men exclusive Marvel universe, and then a universe with all other Marvel IPs. Ones that aren't as tied into the thorny, crazy nature of the entire planet in various stages of evolution and where The Thing can be cheered as a great hero and Beast is dismissed as a "filthy mutie." The genetics, racism, dichotomy with the government, school that recruits new blood and struggling-with-powers-at-puberty thing are all cool topics that I think the X series have done well with at various stages... but it just clashes so much with how the rest of the Marvel world works.
Dude carnage was a 1 trick pony untill recently. Carnage usa and recently inversion were a saveing grace.
he simply became a bad guy from the 90s.
Venom might be cool and all, but he got nothing on CARNAGE!!
So the black alien symbiote can't be as cool? That's racist.
hay atleast he didnt say Antivenom. Blond guy in a white suit....
Doc Ock is easily my favorite Spider-Man villain.
To me he's like The Joker, or Lex Luthor, or Reverse Flash.
The perfect opposite.

That has a high chance of happening just because of the issues with Fox.
Granted I disagree with your statement, since Spider-Man and alot of other non-Mutants get alot of crap from people, even The Thing. Civilians in the MU are jerks.
But you know what I mean. Also that decimation thing did happen once.
It was called House of M. And it was godawful.
hay atleast he didnt say Antivenom. Blond guy in a white suit....
Antivenom was terrible! ![]()

Civilians in the MU are assholes. Even in the mutiveries. I rather be a hero in DC then in Marvel ![]()
For me its alwats been the Goblin.
but i prefere the obscure ones like Skin head. who was a Neonazi who was coated in acid whos touch melted people.

The best part of JLA/Avengers was how shocked The Avengers were that the DC civilians ACTUALLY liked their heroes.
To the point they assumed the Justice League were tyrannical dictators.

That's really sad and messed up. Marvel sure likes to **** on their heroes. Especially Spidey and the X-men....
Depends on whitch team your on.
Avengers or F4 your pretty mutch made.
but even DC has its issues.
Marvel i think is more grounded while DC is more Glam whith its heroes.

Yeah, House of M essentially killed the X universe in my eyes, even though it made total sense to do (since the number of mutant characters with insane powers was absolutely bonkers). But it is the natural progression of the series where people can just give birth to a demigod on any given Tuesday.
Which would be cool to explore and delve into... but I don't think they really can while still keeping it in the Marvel family. It is too distracting when you have a handful of mutant teenagers who are more powerful than the Norse god of Thunder, or who could wipe the floor with Iron Man's suit.
Exodus? Magneto? Holocaust? Apocalypse? Onslaught? Phoenix? The most powerful mutants can stop the world dead in their tracks by having a bad hair day - which is cool, but also horribly imbalanced to tell stories.

Irony being people in the MCU are more accepting.
But from what's been revealed about BvS it seems like the exact opposite.

I think if you're a Marvel Superhero, you're only real wish is to become an Avenger.
The Fantastic Four have too high a chance of being trapped in a 4th dimensional void for all eternity to risk it.

Honestly? It's how I would imagine real people would react.
Awestruck at first... but the second a building gets knocked down or a city has a power outage or a super-powered tidal wave comes crashing in, it turns into "having these guys around SUCKS." Which I can sympathize with - Spider-Man stopping purse snatchers doesn't compare to having my car blown up by pumpkin bombs.

That is a bit goofy. But I highly doubt there are that many that could beat Thor. Guy can go toe to toe, blow for blow with Superman.
And alot of people can wipe the floor with Iron Man. Even normal humans. Not much of an accomplishment.
Phoenix I wouldn't count as a Mutant.
The Phoenix Force is the cosmic entity of rebirth...Inhabiting a Mutant.
Totally different.

Except that her children are mutant-messiah power level as well? There's a genetic component going on there. Nathan Summers, Rachel Summers and Stryfe all are epic level in their power.
Just saying - the second you introduce a "people being born with powers" type of slice to the pie, it can get dicey REALLY quick with the number of super-powered folks running around the place. So much so that it can devalue the already existing heroes pretty fast without some narrative tap dancing.

I bet Captain Universe could take on Phoenix
