Rhys attacks Dual-Wield Lady for 15 damage

{I'm taking his turn for Kerri, blahblah}

Spoiler

Taking aim at the dagger wielder attacking Tessa, Rhys took a deep breath.  He exhaled, then let his arrow fly, hitting her cleanly in the ribcage as she left her torso unguarded for just exactly long enough.

He nocked another arrow and waited.

Philomena does 7 damage to the Fox

A split second later, Mercuriel took more damage, and looked like he was in a great deal of pain, though he had too much bravado to show it.

She took a deep breath and rushed forward, abandoning her cover and any hope of remaining undetected. As she came up behind the elf, she saw the mage in the distance. Remembering Beldin's words that mages could determine the outcome of battles, she leveled her staff at the enemy mage. A shimmering purple shard flew through the air and landed in the mage's shoulder, exploding in a shattering of purple light.

Laurelin's heart was pounding uncontrollably,no matter how bard she was trying to compose herself and focus again on the battle.Everything seemed so unreal,one moment they were "playing" combat and the other they were fighting for real.

Her attention was suddenly caught by Mercuriel,who received some nasty injuries.And so did Beldin and Tessa....

Without hesitation she raised her staff again in fury focusing on Marl who was dangerously close to Mercuriel and even managed to injure him,the sensation of mana transforming into pure energy felt somehow satisfying,she glanced towards the large woman and released a beam of energy.

(Ruth was kind enough to roll for me so I am going to use those rolls and link them. Thanks again Ruth! Here is my post!)

Mercuriel, despite his injured state, pressed on. If he went down he was going to go down swinging and taking several more of these bastards with him. He attacks LS1 and uses Mighty Blow.

Dog attacks the Fox.

{Nevermind,already rolled one :)

Laurelin's eyes sparkled with anger,she had little love for bandits,and dishonourable people who would prey on the innocent.

Feeling herself strangely rejuvenated she held her staff in the air,while preparing a second burst of energy and pointed it a the mean looking individual, equipped with an even meaner looking longsword.

Rhys attacks Dual-Wield, killing her

{Posting for Kerri, yadayada}

Spoiler

Rhys narrowed his field of vision to the dagger wielder. He saw that Tempest was in place and not a moment too soon.

Tessa was barely upright, and Beldin was covered in blood as well.  On the exhale, he let fly and allowed himself a nod as the dagger wielder fell, his arrow sticking out of her neck.

At this point, I recognized the need to stop the bleeding at its source. The northernmost archer had been plaguing us far too long, and her depredations must be checked. Stealth was impossible, but I engaged her nonetheless, and acquitted myself well enough, slashing her unarmored side and driving my dagger into her thigh.

Tessa attacks and kills LS3, and attacks GS

Spoiler

Tessa felt, rather than saw the woman with the daggers fall at her side. This one with the long sword was taking most of her attention.  She swung in, blade cutting deep into the swordbearer’s side, felling him without a sound.

Growling in a grey rage, Tessa turned toward the man wielding the greatsword, and swung at him, coming on from the left. Her blade stuck in his hip and she wrenched it free, looked up to ready another swing and saw Beldin on the other side of him.

Oh. She thought, and lowered her sword.

The nick on Beldin's neck was nothing, but the big brute with the greatsword's blow stung! He shook out his hand to restore sensation to it, drew back, and let the bastard have a taste of his axe. Had he a larger weapon, it might have been more dramatic than it was, but the sound of the man's trachea crunching under the blow was satisfying all the same. Beldin does 12 damage to Greatsword, killing him.

Bartha cried out when the longsword plunged deep into her leg. She had realized too late that her positioning was bad, and didn’t have enough time to dodge the incoming blow.

To finally see him drop to the ground, after another hit from Mercuriel and a magical hit from somewhere behind them, made her let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. Nonetheless, there wasn’t time to relax or tend to her injuries. She noticed Fabian running off to an archer who was already severely injured. No doubt that he would be able to finish that one off himself.

Further south the other half of their group was fighting. At the moment, the enemies were too far away for her to reach soon. With blood flooding from her leg already, running might do more harm than benefit at the moment anyway.

She decided to slip back into the shadows, and sneak up to the enemy instead. However, when she was about to take a step, the sharp pain in her leg made her cringe.

She realized that the mage had popped up suddenly, and although their group was seemingly having the overhand, those bandits did not yet sound the retreat. Perhaps there are more hiding somewhere? She decided intensively scan her surroundings for any hidden figures, before they would all run off and perhaps expose their backs.

Bartha gets back into stealth and searches for any stealthy enemies.

When the ball of ice hit her chest, it felt like frozen fingers grasping her heart. She cried out in rage and pain as the fingers slowly clenched. She wouldn't have much time before the ice would overtake her, unless she could somehow withstand it.

Holding her staff in front of her, she stared into the volcanic glass sphere and chanted in a melodic voice, "Suelo mifiendra!" As her words left her mouth, a spinning ball of purple light formed in front of her staff. Chant completed, she brandished the staff at the Fox, sending the ball of light flying in his direction. As it sailed through the air, the light around it dissipated until nothing more than a shiny black stone remained and hit the enemy mage in the gut.

Tempest finally reached Tessa. Although it had taken a matter of seconds for her to reach the warrior, it had felt like an eternity with her friend so weakened - although Tempest noted that Tessa was courageously fighting back even still.

This was no time to play it safe and conserve energy. Tempest touched the closest part of Tessa she could reach, which happened to be between her shoulder blades, and channeled as much healing power as she was able to command.
