Am I the only one who REALLY missed that?
I mean, at the ending we get to make requests to the king/queen. A mage asking for the Circle's freedom. And dalish asking for some lands. You could ask for money too!
In my main gameplay I played with a city elf, so asked the Alienage to get representation on the Landsmeet, and my cousin, the red-haired elf girl became the leader of the elves.

Those are really importante decisions, in my opinion, and I think a lot of people agree. It would be really nice to see it in the Keep. Saddly all those new plots won't have effect on DA:I, I mean, the game is ready for launch.
Anyway, I really missed it.

What you guys think?
(sorry for the bad english, it's not my main language)

Yes, it would be nice to pick which boon your Warden asked for - but for me it isn't critical. :)

You could suggest it with the beta feedback button :D

Boons will not be added

Has this been confirmed? Were they talking for DAI or it affecting games or it being added in the keep in general?

Where did you get a confirmation? I'm not surprised and I expected that anyway since both Mage and Dalish specific boon got retconned since DAII, but still...that's a bummer. I feel like the Boons decisions are one of the most important decision.

Exactly! And the City Elf boon is really important too, for the first time the city elves get a place on politics! It could really mean something!

And katerinafm, I already suggested it in the feedback tool, I just wanted to discuss it with some other players, see if I'm not the only one  :)
It would be really good if you guys ask for that plot on the feedback tool! I don't know if you tried that too

Mage specific boon doesn't matter to me, I always opted for Chancellor or Teryn of Gwaren

This is the most important decision in the game, as far as I'm concerned. It needs to be in the keep. I suggested it with the feedback tool, probably 2 or 3 times.

Remember that the importance of the boons may have been diminished because of the time passed between origins and inquisition. For example if you freed the circle in origins it doesn't change the fact that in Inquisition the mages are in conflict with the Templars because of Anders actions in DA 2. The time that pass between games could have made the boons irrelevant

This is the choice they really need to add into the Keep. Without it the whole game feels a little wasted. And Mage and Dalish choices are not retconned, npc DO talk about them in DA2. And I dont care if my boon is irrelevant in DAI, still want it. And not every one of them is irrelevant for future games (Warden can have different titles).

ive sent feedpack plot request for this. I really want them in but doubt that will affect anything (at least in Dai).

Even if they add the choice before DA:I I doubt it will have an affect on the game now since adding boons isn't a priority.

If that's true, then it's one of the most ridiculous decisions I've ever heard.

I hope they add them because on my cannon play through I picked the human aid for the dwarves, adn that makes a huge difference for the future of the dwarves. I can see this getting reconned( darkspawn retook the land or soemthing alont those lines) but that is crazy to me! I have the architect alive(darkspawn go further into the deep roads and it gets more quiet) and I have bhelen and golems. Combine that with the human aid and the dwarves should be set!

the more i think about it, the more redeeming the money back is calling me: Too much DA2 and useless decisions are triggered... while important stuff from Origins/Awakening are not.

Just because the boon is important to you doesn't mean its important to the story of DA:I. You may not like that the choice is not important but unless they wrote the boon into the story there is nothing that can be done now.

The keep is designed to be added to but the only tiles that are important are the ones already made as they have a CHANCE to effect the content of DA:I. Not every choice in the keep does as it stands so adding more is just player vanity because nothing added now to the keep changes the game.

Right now what important for the keep is to get it bug free for the game we have NOW not future games. The boons are not in deal with it.

The Keep isn't just for DA:I though. It's stuff we might see carry over for the life of the franchise. So for instance, even if events in DA:I make most or all of them irrelevant after that point in the timeline, there's still the possibility of games set in the intervening years that should be effected, and the likelyhood of characters showing up that should have been effected.

It seems to me that most of the boons are likely to happen regardless of if the Warden requested them - the Warden gaining any title is rendered moot by their absence (as established by DA2's epilogue), Arl Howe's lands in Amaranthine go to the Wardens regardless since Awakening happens, the Circles are all in revolt anyway... I can see whoever's on Ferelden's throne proceeding to install Shianni as a bann in any case as well, given how she organizes the elves during the darkspawn invasion. That pretty much just leaves granting the Dalish territory as the only boon that could have an effect on the future, and I honestly see trying to grant that causing significant tension between whoever's on the throne and the Bannorn, asking them to give up territory that's probably at a premium in the aftermath of the Blight.

I would suggest listening to october 3 10 and 17 livestreams. Exact info on there.
