Ok, Noob question; I was just on the Dragon Age Keep but realized I can't change my warden or hawkes name (Unless I am missing something). If I am stuck with the default names I can live with it.

 

When going into DA 2's section,  I was stuck using default male hawke. This isnt really a big deal to me because my Hawke never had that blood tattoo on his face. Still, Since he will be in inquisition, how will this account for those that changed hawke's appearance? I remember someone at bioware stating that you can change a previous character's appearance and I assumed this was in the keep.

 

Still checking the keep out and I love this app so far. However, any help is appreciated. Thanks

They have said they are looking into the ability for us to change the names , as for Hawke we will be able to change their appearance in DAI itself

The only way to get custom names is to play DAO while connected to Origins (it will save that stuff). Appearances are not imported at all into DAI (or the Keep), so there is no way to customize any appearance in the keep. Devs have stated that customizing Hawke will occur, but it will be in DAI itself.

It is inferred because Mike confirmed that if previous protagonists appeared we would be able to customize their appearance, and it was also confirmed that the Keep doesn't allow customizing appearances, so the only remaining option is it must be within DAI.

Yeah, Mike Laidlaw confirmed a while back that you will be able to customize Hawke's appearance in the game.

He will not physically appear in game, but you will hear about what he is up to.

I wondered about that too but I found out on Twitter that Warden won't make appearance in DAI however Warden will get more then just mention.I think they said that you will get something like quest to help you deal with Warden(not sure what is "deal with" suppose to be...kill Warden?Or help you finally solve mystery of what happened with Warden?).

You can't make custom names in the keep unless you import characters from DAO and DA2. BioWare last stated they were trying to add the feature to change names in the Keep in. You will be able to change Hawke's appearance in DAI when you meet him/her.

So far I think the only thing that has been said "officially" is that the Warden in the "Enemy" Trailer was not the "player Warden." However, the "default" world state Bioware usually uses in its non-game material (comics, books, etc) had the female warrior dalish sacrifice herself, so of COURSE that particular instance wouldn't be our warden... if the default was what was being used for the trailer.

 

It could be that should our Warden have survived, that slot WOULD be taken by him/her. Just a possibility.
