The chances iof this ever being important or indeed mentioned are slim to none anyway, have to get those Hawke references in, far more important than the Warden....

Morrigan Sperm Jacked the Warden!
It's the only logical explanation!
You better get ready to pay up for them 10 years of child support. You poor bastard...

Still it would be cool if a dwarf inquisitors child looks different to a human or elfs child.
I'll let you know! ![]()
OTOH, my Dwarf's Warden's baby is also the OGB, so it might just end up looking like a Lovecraftian horror either way...

For something in the keep, yes I would love to have it be possible for it to merely register if you slept with Leliana and Morrigan, at least in the sense that it registers that Morrigan might have a normal child but you weren't necessarily in a romance with her.

In my opinion, the choice with the normal baby is illogical. Morrigan can never have a normal baby, because if she is already pregnant, the dark ritual, her most important task, would be pointless. A woman can't become pregnant, if she is already pregnant. Therefore she has to ensure, that she isn't pregnant until the decision with the ritual, maybe with help of some herbs as contraceptive.

It's quite simple in my opinion.
If you romanced Morrigan and did not do the dark ritual -> Morrigan accidentally became pregnant before the ritual was even proposed
If you did the dark ritual -> Morrigan never got pregnant before she proposed the dark ritual.
It's just a matter of coincidence.
Not mind-bending or anything at all. Simply this.

Yes, I'm confused about the human baby part. So, if you DID romance Morrigan but DIDN'T go through with the ritual, she leaves already pregnant with a baby? She wasn't aware that she was already pregnant at the time she offered the ritual?
EDIT: I see that's the case from previous posts. Must have been a huge shock for her to find that out. I wonder how she feels about having a regular human baby then. Probably has mixed feelings about it.

So....if she is already pregnant, but you don't go with the Dark Ritual....does a Warden die?

Not if Alistair/Loghain kills the AD then they do.

If there is no DR, someone dies, be it Warden, Alistair or Loghain.

A Warden always dies when they kill an Archdemon. In one of my Keep saves, my male mage Warden romanced Morrigan but didn't go through with the ritual; he made Alistair king, and Loghain died killing the Archdemon, thus redeeming himself from plunging Ferelden into a civil war. In Witch Hunt, my mage went through the Eluvian with Morrigan after reconciling himself with her. I can't wait to see what happens next.

No, youre missing the point of DR. It was magic ritual to lure OG soul into the kid. Getting pregnant was only part of it and not entire thing. She could have completely skipped sex part if she knew that she was already pregnant and move to the magic part of it. The reason she still went to the Warden was because she wasn't aware of her pregnancy (I guess Warden fertility is so low that she completely ignored the possibility of this). She had everything she needed to get the soul and could finish the whole thing without notifying the Warden if she had knowledge that she already carried the kid. I kinda wish Bioware wouldve shown her initial reaction to the fact that she was pregnant whole time and wasted her opportunity lol.

Funnily enough in WH she seems ecstatic about normal kid as opposed to the speech about OGB which makes it sound like hes some tool for her plan.

That seems like an interesting story butterfly. 'Specially if you married Anora and let Alistair sacrifice.

From where do you know that? Everything she says to the Warden implies, that she has to conceive the child during the last night, because otherwise, if the unborn child is too old, the ritual doesn't work.
And furthermore she solely sleeps with the Warden with low approval, what is in the early stage of the game, a good while before the final fight. I doubt, that she doesn't recognize a pregnancy all the time.

I have never noticed separate dialogue. Could you elaborate?

I don't think there was different dialogue, I searched for it after reading that person's comment and found nothing.

It's 2 different stories!!
If you romanced Morrigan, but didn't do the dark ritual, you have one outcome. If you proceded with the dark ritual, you're in a different story arc.
There isn't a single timeline here. And there is no need to try to justify the biology when there is magic involved.
If you need cohesion so badly, you can just imagine the ritual reverses any current pregnancy back into a special enchanted ovum for fertilization.

On the plus/interesting side. At least this now establishes that Morrigan doesn't engage in the ritual without your consent. I had just presumed the baby she was carrying was for the ritual given her motives, regardless of when you had sex.
Then no-one would have died when killing the archdemon.

All of the conception options are post you becoming a Grey Warden (or Alistair/Logain being Grey Warden's) that isn't an issue. The issue is if you impregnate her in camp (even though you are tainted) she supposedly has a regular child... if however you have sex with her as the ritual then you produce ogb... the problem being that if she had fallen recently pregnant she shouldn't have been able to become pregnant again.

no if we want we can resurrect the warden in awakening, who cares about the absurd implications in the end for DA2 you are dead, beside the wardens never shows up.

Let her leave and sacrifice Loghan.
IDK but Morrigan just looks so less attractive during the Dark Ritual Romance scene.
