Origins had the issue of no enemies respawning, except for a few rare mission triggers. Mods helped this, but still. DA:2, I can't quite remember if enemies respawned a lot or not, but I don't think I ever saw them do so. This question might have been answered already, but will Inquisition, since it's a semi-open world and "sandbox-style-RPG" feature respawning enemies in certain areas?

Certain enemies will repopulate. They won't be jumping out of the floors and dropping out of the roof during combat this time, though.

Enemies did not respawn in DAO or DA2. They will respawn in DAI if they happen to be common NPC fodder. More unique and special NPCs (dragons, giants, etc.) will not and will be permanently dead once they are killed. It should be noted that the game will actually take your killing into consideration, so if you consistently kill bears, the population of bears will drastically decrease overtime and become scarce. This was done in order to make crafting more rewarding, realistic, and dynamic, as well as to prevent farming/grinding.
