It is just in gold now. No more silvers or coppers.

Lots and lots of gold , the Inquisitor is going to bath in it.

I'm not sure if things are now way more expensive or we're going to pour some of coins in the Inquisition.
We may need some gold to feed the soldiers , bribe some orlesian and rebuild Skyhold.

Personally, I am really glad currency in DAI is only gold coin this time around. I really hated those coppers and silvers.
This one piece currency worked pretty well in Skyrim, so I'm all for it.

You pay for stuff with gold and the mechant or smith gives you stuff back.

Gameplay wise, it has all been simplified down to "gold."
Lore wise, the other pieces of currency do still exist and are used.
I doubt the Inquisition will have much use for 50 copper though, so it makes some sense to only deal in larger currency.

No no no no no...
You save up all your gold on the assuption that you'll find better stuff to buy later, and end up not spending anything....

even in the last dungeon of the game... I always have to stop myself from trying to loot everything when going to fight the archdemon.

Well it's OK, we've got Sandal there to sell all the junk to. Thats why Bioware put him in the castle, right?

Yes, purely there to sell all of your junk and get those few extra coppers because why not? He wasn't there to enchant or anything was a he?

Don't forget to hord those health potions and keep your most powerfull items to yourself, there could be an even bigger archdemon just around the corner!

I'm not sure how the economy will work. There's an achievement for getting a certain amount of gold, and you have repeatable missions for gold so you basically can have unlimited gold which is only limited by real time [required per mission]. I'm assuming things will be much more expensive than in the previous games...

in the stream on October 25 an enemy was looted for 98 gold. Obviously, based on previous dragon age games, that is a lot of money.
98 gold was a lot of money in 9:30 Dragon, but because of inflation, it is now petty cash.

Kind of annoyed the old system was removed because I believed it to be a Dragon Age necessity.. Meh, nothing I can do.

First you get the money, then you get the power.

I just hope there's a way to make profits in Inquisition, like Origins. You couldn't craft stuff and make profits in DA II unless you put gold multipliers to every equipment pieces you had on your team.
