I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.
...honestly, I have no idea. Sounds great though.
Naming an item being a pigeon, are we...? ![]()

For my Rogue's Daggers;
"Backscratcher" and "Buttscratcher" for a Tempest, since anyone who goes into battle like that, has to have a bizarre sense of humour.
"Peace" and "Diplomacy" for an Assassin, so they won't technically be lying to Josephine when they say that's how they solved a problem.

If only you could actually design the dagger ends to look like a little hand. Like a real backscratcher. ![]()
Hm, nice names you all picked. Since the game's plot deals a lot about faith I would craft a holy one-handed sword containing a tear of Andraste and a toenail of Maferath (which hopefully will be collect-able crafting ingredients
) and I wil give it the ancient elven name Arcenduril, which - I now declare - means saviour or redeemer. ![]()
a bow: Philomela
(Courtesy of Merrills, DA2).
"Ugly Stick"
Would need to be a blunt though, so probably a mace...
Or a stave. Any beatin' stick would suffice, really."Ugly Stick"

Muh...I don't know . Maybe I give them funny names once I see what the weapons look like . But one thing I know for sure is that everytime I will see a Templar I shall shoot screaming 'INDOCTRINATION'...........well..after I shoot and it's dead ![]()
I'm most likely going to go with whatever default name the game generates. Not really into the habit of naming my weapons although it might make for a more interesting playthrough.
I can see my Templar naming his/her shields 'defense'/'protective' names such as 'Vigil', 'Maker's Cloak' while weapons could get names such as 'Justice', 'Peacemaker' and 'Smite', for instance.
My Rogue would probably give her daggers names based off of past loves or those who are significant to her. Or just because she's creative like that, and since she's never had time for love, gives her daggers name to give her some semblance of a relationship. Probably 'Anna', 'Jenny', 'Tera', 'Lily', with each enchantment telling its own story. 'Anna', for instance, was a firebrand, making her a dagger with fire based damage. Jenny was a manipulative, backstabbing wench, with her dagger emitting toxic poisons and bonus critical damage. Tera was the ice queen, naturally making the dagger emit cold/freezing damage.
Can't see my Qunari giving names to weapons though. To my mage, a staff is just a staff that does what she needs it to. To my warrior, if it kills things it does the job.
Pig sticker. or Nug as the case may be.
I will have twin daggers. One will be called "Diplomatic Solution" and the other "Aggressive Negotiations".
I wish I could like this more than once. ![]()
Bow - Total Eclipse (For my arrows will block out the sun, and we shall fight in the shade.)
My great ax will be Human Resources.
Oh, fantastic!
L12 longsword ...

Why not? It seems like it's a Qunari thing to do if Sten is any judge. Of course your Qunari isn't Qunari in the same way he is. Is it out of defiance to the traditional way of the Qun?
So perhaps it's an aspect of their language that even mundane items have cool names due to the many meanings.Qunari are a people of metaphors, and for them, words have many meanings. Sataareth, the name given by the Arishok to this axe, means "that which upholds". It is the word for foundation, defender, and enforcer, all at once.
Should we ask the devs if they can tell us the Qunlat for "This is my boomstick?" for mages to call their staves?

DO IT.
Poop Storm.
I think I'm gonna channel Isabella and call my daggers Heartbreaker and Backstabber.
DO IT.
Well, our name Adaar actually means "fire-thrower" and is Qunlat for a cannon, so "boomstick" is probably something similar? ![]()
C'mon devs, we gots to know!

So male Adaar's default name means "Navigator Fire thrower"...
Excellent. I may never be able to play him as anything other than a mage now. A mage with much fireballs.
Although, Tempest...
