How much effort I put into naming depends on how quickly items get replaced. In the end, they may end up being Sword 1, Sword 2, Sword 3, etc.

I love the idea of naming a thing that rains death in various forms upon people and monsters (and people-monsters) "daydream".

 

Cole's daggers' names make my heart feel squishy.

Since Navilia is rather strongly devoted to the Chantry and its faith. I thought to have a small list ideas for her weapons and armor, as well as my companions. All of these names are taken from the chant of light.

• Maker's Will

Companions

 

Cassandra: One Truth(sword)/ Maker's benediction.

Cole: firstborn/ first Word (daggers)

Vivienne:  no uncertainty(staff)

It means "Time".

 

So a default female Qunari's name means "Time Fire-Thrower", which frankly, sounds like a description of James Bond's alarm clock?!

For my first mage play, i would craft 2 OP staff:

 

- "Stick of the truth" Fire dmg

 

- "EAWare worst end of the history" Spirit dmg

 

 

Second rogue play, epics Dual Daggers:

 

Main hand: "EA greed" made with wood (steel way too expensive).

 

Off hand: "Bioware DLC" poorly made of steel.

The struggle is real . I'm not gonna name my most spectacularly crafted awesome sword Carsomyr or Excalibur or [insert legendary sword name], only for it to become obsolete 2 levels later.

For my favorite 4 companions I shall name their weapons after the Musketeers. Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and  d'Artagnan
