I'm liking the Keep so far, but because its still in the beta form I think we can all agree that there are some things that can be improved.

For me one thing I've noticed is the lack of back ground music. I know its minor, but it would better enhance the experience if Bioware could add music from the previous games. Musical themes that recalled my adventures in Ferelden and Kirkwall.

Like the party camp music or Hawke family theme? It would create a nice ambience. Would it impact on the speed of the Keep though?

Personally, I'd quite like to rename the default Wardens/Hawkes and remove their character portraits. I'm using them for my world states, since I've had problems syncing my characters since getting the games, back for old BSN avatars. It would be preferable to use my own characters' names though. There's a chance those might be in letters/codex etc in DAI, and would make organising different world states easier. Plus I don't like looking at the defaults' faces.

The ability to manually input names has been suggested several times during the closed Beta and I think it's something that may come in time. I've no idea if they're trying to implement that before launch. Since it doesn't have a significant impact on the game (apparently) my guess is that it would be low priority at the moment.

If you can't get your DA:O character to sync however and none of the suggestions in the FAQs etc work, the one sure solution I've found is to download the standalone DA:O Character Creator. Recreate your character's appearance in that, use the same name and hit the upload button. Characters I've created that way turn up in the Keep 30 minutes to an hour later.

Music, despite Justin's dislike of it, will be added sometime. As seen on a Twitch stream a few weeks back

I agree if you could manually enter your characters names when syncing would make identifying your different world states be a lot easier. As for music making the Keep take longer to load, theres music playing as you explore the map of Thedas on the Dragon Age website. It doesn't take long to load, so I bet by Novmember 18th we'll have music to accompany us while using the keep.

I hope they flesh out the descriptions of choices a little more. Most of the Origins choices are fresh, but I haven't played DA:2 in a while, so a lot of them and some from late-game Origins have me stumped, as I forget what consequences and circumstances the events took place under. Giving a more detailed description of things instead of "The Warden made some extra coin helping so/so" would be nice.

You can change the names of the different world states - there's an Edit button next to the name of the state, so you can change it to reflect your Warden's names. I agree that the ability to manually input character names and upload pictures to show your characters would be nice, since the syncing doesn't always work properly (although I found that disabling the developer console fixed that for me...)

Minor thing; one of the questions for the Denerim section is asking about how one handled the Crimson Oars; there are only two options "handled the crimson oars" and "didn't handle the crimson oars", with the "handled" option's artwork suggesting they were killed.

In game it was possible to resolve that situation via persuasion or intimidation and get the Oars to leave peacefully. Is this supposed to be the "didn't handle" option?

I dunno if it's just me but, my DA2 Original characters appears, but not my DA:O Character, is this some kind of bug or something?

Also, will there be the ''character creation'' options? If i can't Import, i'd like to rename the default and recreate the character.

Will level and equipement change something from the previous game into the DAI?

No, it's not just you. Lots of people are finding that one or more of their Heroes won't sync. For some reason, DA:O seems to be more of a problem but there are also others (like me!) who haven't had any characters sync from either game. While it's a little annoying, however, the failure to sync shouldn't affect your DA:I experience.

Here's a summary of what we know (or think we know!) about syncing and character creation:

Syncing achievements - this is supposed to bring forward the Achievements you earned playing DA:O and DA2. Again, there may be bigger plans for this in the future but, at the moment, it just creates an online record of what you already have on your XBox, PS or PC. It does not affect DA:I in any way.

Syncing characters from DA:O - this may affect DA:I in some way but, from what we've been told so far, not in any major way. The Warden from DA:O does not appear in DA:I although he/she will be mentioned. We believe you may therefore see his/her name in a Codex or something, but syncing probably won't do anything more than that.

Syncing characters from DA2 - we believe the Champion from DA2 will appear in DA:I. BW have said, however, that if he/she does appear, we will be given something like a Character Creator tool so that we can make them look like our own hero. Again, therefore, syncing will have no real effect on DA:I.

I've just had an interesting idea; it doesn't have anything to with Inquisition but it could utilize the Keep's ability to allow us to create a world state, but at instead of creating a world state you would use it to create a "character state".

At any rate here it goes.

In the future Bioware could create something like the Keep, to allow us create characters with deeper customized backgrounds for some future game. So instead of  having a system such as in DA:O where your character's background was already written into the game, you could create your own "Origin" for your character.

So instead of having say a character who was simply a Dalish Elf, you could create a background where that character who was born from a Dalish Keeper.  Yet as a child was forced into an Alienage. You could then choose that Later on your character was later discovered to be a mage and was forced to join the Circle of Magi; or you could choose that your character was recruited by the Grey Wardens when Templars came to execute you for being an apostate. So at the start of the game you could be a mage craving the freedom of your ancestors, or an indebted Warden recruit.

You could make dozens if not hundreds of choices about your character before even starting to play the game, and still have them reflected in the game's story. We have to wait until the 18th to see how much our decisions about the world of Thedas we made in previous games affect Inquisition's story, yet I think my idea about having "character-states" could bring a whole new level to story-telling in Bioware.

Killing them OR getting them to leave via peaceful means are handeling them because BOTH completes the quest.

That isn't clear in regards to the option of the keep. The "handle" option artwork a man with a slit throat, implying you handled them violently, and several other options in the game - albeit ones I would consider far more important to the plot - have distinct answers for handling a situation with violence or diplomacy.

I agree with Su Li Pi up there. I was invited to the closed Beta for DA Keep. One problem I quickly ran in to was remembering everything. I had to sit there and Google all the names, and quests just to remember what happened. I felt lost. I feel that they could of had some sort of mini wiki to help make decisions while in the Keep (or something)

The biggest problem with the Keep is with the conflicting events.  For example, my Hero romanced both Morrigan and Leliana, but I broke things off with Morrigan and kept things going with Lelianna.  During the epilogue I didn't make a OGB with Morrigan, but it said she was sighted in the mountains and appeared to be with child.  Meaning it was a human baby.  But the keep won't let me choose that the Warden had a human baby with Morrigan if I had already chosen that I romanced Leliana.

There's a few other places it conflicts too.  Like if you saved Nathaniel in DA2, you can't have help the dwarf father rescue his sons.  I distinctly remember doing both.

because there is no choice. You went there, you killed things and you found secrets.

Syncing characters will not affect DA:I only the tiles will matter. So other than have them showing there is no benefit over whats already there. (Names arent stored either, which is why name changes are still being looked into)

I like the Keep (how could I not, with Varric's narration of the story? plus, it's clear that a lot of effort's gone into it) but I agree, some of the conflicts are really annoying.

And while I'm not looking to have all the minor choices included there are some that I'm very much missing, like the decision to harden Alistair or not. If he's made king (which I've done for 90% of my games), I don't see how this could be inconsequential.

Also, there are some choices I'm asked about for each world state that should be locked to a specific background, I think. (Meeting and having a baby with Mardy, for one.) It's not a huge problem, setting the response then getting on with the rest of the Tapestry, but it is a bit jarring.

Love the idea - but I am finding it kind of difficult to use Having trouble saving my world states. I have had to delete them all and start over again.

When I went to make a second DA:O save - I couldn't figure it out. Then all of a sudden I have 4 saved world states (want to name the file, but cant figure that out either) and none of them were mine - so very weird. I am not great with computers but can usually figure things out... not this time'

I wish they would label what the icons do for starters. Cant seem to watch my stories.

Is there a step by step written guide anywhere?

Feeling frustrated.
