Hey

It's been awhile since I last played DA:2 but I'm sure that I was able to save a Dwarven Brother in the quest Fool's Gold and also save Nathaniel as well.

But, when I try to select the option to save Merin and Nathaniel I'm getting a conflict where the only option is to either not save Nathaniel or not meet Yevhen.

Before I use the feedback option can anyone remind if you could save a brother and Nathaniel or is the conflect correct?

Thanks.

You can only do one or the other. To be able to do both, you'd have to use a console command. Or had some weird glitch happen to you.

Yeah I had the same problem. Thank god Keep gives us the chance to fix the bug. Annoyed I never got to meet the guy as Hawke though.

Unfortunately, the Keep does not fix the issue, bug still invading.

It's not a bug, but what the game intended.

Oh unless you mean Nathanial? The Keep fixed it, it asked if he's alive and well.

The Keep seems to believe that Yevhen only shows up in DA2 if Nathaniel died. In fact, Yevhen shows up if you chose to protect Amaranthine and leave Nathaniel at the Keep, which often results in his death, but not always. I've heard this is a plot flag error in DA2. You only know know this is a bug if you've looked it up or heard about it, however, because nothing seems strange in the game itself. That's why I suggested they change this in the Keep.

The reason Yeven shows up in that situation is because Awakening flags Nathaniel dead in that situation. Therefore he is dead even though you might have thought he was alive due to inaccurate epilogue slides. The Keep is merely representing what was possible in game, and I see no reason why they should allow this anymore than allowing any other impossible situation or bugged situation.

I know it was an import bug, but it's a very common bug that doesn't break in-game logic. I think the Keep should incorporate this so the many people who are in this situation can accurately recreate their save state.

It wasn't an import bug it was an Awakenings bug. And they can recreate their save state because Nathaniel was dead in their world. They can also fix the bug now.
