The camps you build around the world for resting and restocking...are they a safezone or can enemies attack them (while you r in them ) ? it would be really cool if they can !!

The casuals would cry too much if such an awesome mechanic was implemented. People hate challenge. They want to feel powerful and unique without effort I'm afraid.

Who pissed in your cheerios?
I'd like it to be a rare event that a group could find and attack your camp. It'd be fun.

I like the idea of it, represents challenge. I'd prefer it to be more common, after all, Thedas is in a world war. The landscapes are torn up by battle so it should be present wherever you go.

I need something as iconic as Morrigan's "What will they send next.. darkspawn tax collector?" line if attack at camp or skyhold ever happens.

Camps seem pretty important to the combat mechanics, especially on harder difficulties.

I think it would be fun to have the camps not be that safe, so that we can get attacked if something gets too close and has to be fended off by our scouts.
It'd remind me of that scary as hell moment in Dead Space when you're in the store, a normally safe zone that's been your one safe haven throughout the entire game, only for one of the Necromorphs to burst into the room behind you from one of the vents.
It would be awesome if you returned to camp, only to suddenly get a huge dragon raze it just as you approach! ![]()
(Just let it be one of the camps that Harding isn't in!)

One of my favorite moments in Origins was when the Darkspawn sense your camp and attacked it. It never happened a second time, but it was a unique experience that really beat in the idea that nowhere was safe. Travel to Denerim? Get attacked. Inside Denerim? Get attacked. Take a break at your camp? Get attacked.
It was fun.

I would like this to happen if you allow conditions in that region to deteriorate. If you press your men too hard, don't equip them well enough, etc.
Especially if you made a personal choice for your character - over a larger choice over your Inquisition.
Even then - I wouldn't want it to be all the time, and no one thing should punish you necessarily - but a series of choices that undermine your Inquisition? Absolutely.

It was a major annoyance in Skyrim, when dragons ate the town merchants.
Or when vampires killed any of them, although there's work arounds to make sure it rarely happens so not to annoying.
I'd like camp attacks once in awhile maybe, but definitely not one that's like in the middle of no where. If there are attacks I'd like them to make sense, like one happens not long after you take one as revenge, or one near a hotly contested area already

Cool? - It would be even more tedium -.- (yes, once or twice (like the darkspawn attacking camp in DAO) might be ok, but not all the time -.-)
greetings LAX
ps: I would like it though, if they added your advisors to your camp (after all traveling back to Skyhold all the time is not cool either - and with messengers etc. you should be able to command from the field almost as well as from your fortress)

Actually it's interesting to have one safe camp and several smaller and attackable camp on the area. And need that several characters to have immunity to dying (to prevent important characters got eaten by a dragon like in Skyrim), characters that you can't advance the story without them. Since Scout Harding seems quite important, for example she can't die. But Inquisition SOldier #14 can.
Maybe we can do something like this:
- Easy: all camps are safe haven
- Normal: one camp/area are safe haven
- Hard & nightmare : no safe haven
