I have always been curious about the Eluvians, ever since the proper explanation was given to them (in Witch Hunt). And even more so after DA2, since one played such a big part in Merrill's story. And, after The Masked Empire, we finally know fully how they work, as gateways that leads to a strange realm, where only elves feel comfortable.

This got me interested about what more artifacts there can be. We already know about the lights of Arlathan, that can be used to find the location of Eluvians, and the Mask of Fen'Harel from DA:Redemption, which apparently needed elven blood as well to fully function (can't say for certain though, as I haven't watched Redemption). After a bit more digging, I...haven't found out about any more particularly interesting artifacts.

There seems to be a common trend with the artifacts however. The blood of pure elves is a must to use them properly (as Michel de Chevin, a half elf, also had troubles walking in the Eluvian pathway). This could lead to quite a lot of artifacts to remain hidden, and unused, as the Tevinter Imperium would have had no idea if what they find is important, if they could even find them to begin with.

So, a question to everyone...What sort of artifacts do you think could still be out there, waiting to be reclaimed?

I personaly doubt that. As I understand, Arlathan was spread over a big area, and if taken to that realm, there would be quite a big crater in the world. But, it wouldn't be impossible for some elves staying in that realm as a sanctuary. Although, food might have become a problem after a while.

That's what I have heard as well, making it even more unlikely that they transported Arlathan to the Eluvian realm.

yeah, i don't know, i guess i wanted to talk more about arlathan, i was thinking of where it could be located. as to the original post this realm that the eluvian leads to, it must have things of interest in it, since Morrigan went to great lengths to find one and think its important for the future (witch hunt). artifacts or some way to improve magical talent perhaps?

While Arlathan itself is unlikely to have been taken to the Eluvian realm, I could definitely see it being used as a "storage" for artifacts that the elves would not dare leave behind in a sealed fortress. Considering the strein for humans to simply walk along a path, it would be next to impossible to go around to search for anything off the road between mirrors. Since Morrigan is a human, she would have alot of trouble, despite her magic.
Maybe that's why she was gone for so long...because of the difficulties to search in the eluvian realm.

As for what she might have searched for, it's hard to guess. A defense against Flemeth's possession, or a weapon to finally end her? An ancient artifact that can help to close the breach? A new pair of socks for the old god baby? Who knows...

maybe cause she was a shapeshifter she had an easier time than most? i'm not suggesting she transformed into an elf or something, but i'm just saying perhaps the shapeshifter specialization made her less human, if that makes any sense.

You do have a good point. It's unknown how animals react to the Eluvian realm, so maybe she could lessen, or completely ignore the negative effect that humans suffer from?
