Couldn't see a topic for this so thought I'd make one.

Like the title says which plot points in the keep do you think will have a big impact on Inquisition? Which do you think will only get a mention or change some dialogue? Which are you most interested in seeing?

Personally i'm looking forward to seeing how the leaders my Warden put in charge (Harrowmont and Anora) are handling the breach and the reaction of returning characters, like Cullen and Varric, to my Hawke and his actions.

I think the obvious ones such as companions, major plot points like who's ruling Ferelden etc. are going to show up. What's more interesting are the smaller quests.

Bevin is a popular one since he would be a young man at this point.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bella as the young running your tavern if you made the right choices.

Zerlinda's baby, can see a dwarven kid running around in some quest but where depends on your choice.

Feyniel's fate or maybe some connection with Tevinter
Charade making a return if she didn't met with Gamlen

I think DA2 tiles will have the most impact on DAI, since the mage-templar war has more ties to DAI than the Blight. And within DA2 the three tiles I see having a big impact on DAI are:

  • Hawke's dominant tone, since it will probably dictate some of Hawke's lines
  • Feynriel's fate, since he's a pretty special mage, and can't die in DA2
  • Larius/Janeka, as Corypheus' story doesn't seem over

As for those I'm most interested in seeing, probably anything relating to the Warden or Hawke's companions.

I would be interested in seeing what state Orzammar is in depending on who the Warden put in charge: Harrowmont died in the epilogue if he became king, and Bhelen had all those dwarven revolutionary ideas.

What state Ferelden is in is a given, I think.

I'm always interested in what former companions are up to, along with side characters that we've met along the way. Especially in a world that appears to be breaking apart, how are these different people handling it?

Although every time I see him/think of him I want to kick his sorry hide into a black hole, I do wonder what Anders is doing if he was left alive at the end of DA2. Would he be trying to atone for the WORST decision of his life? Has Vengeance completely overtaken him? Is he dead? Those kinds of things.

I also want to know if/how the Warden's relationship with Morrigan, whatever it was, affected her decisions and life choices and if those decisions are different according to the differing relationship (friend or foe, lover or backstabber). If that even made sense.

I'm also interested to see if Anders returns as I can rarely bring myself to kill him (yeah I know), having him appear in inquisition with an opportunity to bring him to justice and see the companions reactions, notably Varric and Vivienne would be pretty cool.

That would be interesting! I often keep him alive, too, because killing him wouldn't change anything, and I would rather him live with his mistake and spend the rest of his life trying to make up for it (whether or not he ever does is another story).

Well CLEARLY, it's what we did with the Ostagar prisoner in the prologue section.

Other than that, the OGB, whether Hawke was pro mage or templar, and what happened to the Urn of Sacred Ashes.  I say the last one because the Inquisitor is also known as 'The Herald of andraste.'  Maybe the ashes will call to us or we find them on our journey, imagine finding the ashes, needing them badly to heal someone in power or maybe even a friend of the Inquisitor, and then it fails because the "Hero" of Ferelden tainted them with the dragon blood.

I'm not sure how important it will be, but I really want to talk to Leliana about the Warden and all the different ways she views him, especially if they where in love.

For Inquisition I'd say:

Origins:

-Who rules Ferelden

-Redcliffe's fate (with subquests flavoring what happens, such as Bevin, Bella, Owyn's daughter)

-Morrigan's grimoire and how it was dealt with

-Choice in Witch Hunt DLC

DA2:

-Who Hawke supported (Mages/Templars)

-Varric's relationship with Hawke

-Whether or not Varric kept the Red Lyrium idol

-Fate of the Arishok

-Fate of Merrill's clan and whether or not she destroyed the Eluvian

I don't see the other choices as having much impact on Inquisition aside from a passing reference or cameo. Interestingly, the most important tiles that show up on the 'Heroes' tab are:

Warden's Fate

Warden's Love Interest

Hawke's Side

Hawke's Dominant Tone

Hawke's Love Interest

This to me probably sets the most defining things about the Warden/Hawke and what will be referenced to. However, I think the love interest will merely be dialogue flavor or cameo.

This statement is so wrong from a few points of view not to mention that BioWare confirmed that if you meet Alistair or other past characters they WONT have cameos of any sort when the Inquisitor asks or investigates about it.
Hawke was confirmed to show up at the Inquisitor's side in a trailer "The Enemy of Thaedas" and was confirmed that you will meet Hawke depending on your choices, not to mention that unlike the Warden, Hawke is voice acted and presumably will talk if you interact with him/her.

Although the Warden isn't seen in any trailer and BioWare is too tight lipped about weather you meet him/her, the mark the Warden left on Fereldan lasts for several years and are felt in Inquisition. Further insight on the Warden's past or tale can be gained from his/her romances such as Leliana or Morrigan that have ties with the Inquisitor.
