What in the name of moon cheese kind of writing is THAT?! You can't get rid of the TAINT!! Alistair would have taken that as king in a heartbeat! Heck, EVERYONE would have done it in the Wardens!
Fiona's cure was an accident, it's not a procedure you can just go through. Plus the Architect (disappeared/dead) and Remille (dead) were the only ones who knew Darkspawn magic and how to manipulate the taint so I'd say a cure for Alistair or the Wardens is pretty impossible.
