I don't remember 90% of my choices

I'm sorry but are you stupid? Do you have any idea how hard it would be to program a save importer for 2 games (each with 3 or more expansions) across three totally different operating systems, which then gets imported to three ADDITIONAL completely different systems. Bioware spends a ridiculous amount of time and money just so you can have extra immersion in an already incredible game and you throw a tantrum because you have to tell the program what to do. This is why we cant have nice things.

PS, did it occur  to you that they made it this way so you can change the story without replaying the first two games? Like they said... repeatedly.

If you think that's its hard to do you clearly know nothing. Is it easy? No. Is it hard? No. It's a ****** check box system with data line reading, which basically means they could've isolated code easily, and if there were conflicts they could have pop a message just like they have in the keep "this affects this, decided so and so". You have to be ignorant to think its hard.

            IF:

1). you cannot remember the decisions you made in the game,

            AND

2). cannot be bothered to read the brief descriptions of the choices within the Keep,

            AND

3). cannot be bothered to check on the unofficial wiki to research who and what these people and quests entailed,

            AND

4). are not comfortable using the default world state, then . . .

. . . might I suggest that you log into the Keep and use the Randomizer option for the New World State 1? That way, you will have a customized non-default world state to import into the game without having to do any additional work in creating it.

At the least there should be an explanation on the significance and background of each choice, not just a plain CHOOSE A B C, cause I have nothing to base my choice on.

Use the Dragon Age wiki, like I did.  Even then, I had difficulty with some of the choices.

I agree though, the Keep itself should offer more context on the minor choices.

The OP's profile says the only game he's played is ME3.  How the hell is he going to use an importer if he's already lost all his DA, DA2, and Expansions data?  Sounds like he isn't thinking very clearly.

The key was we didn't want to spoil the old games for people who still want to play them.

Several of my friends and our beta testers recommended searching a Dragonage wiki, which should contain all the information you need to jog your memory. If something still doesn't seem familiar perhaps you never encountered that situation in your playthough... There was a lot of stuff you could miss.

If the default world state represent what would happen if I never encounter those avoidable situations then it's good.

My profile says what it says because I never bothered to set it up properly. It took a lot of backtracking and link hunting to even get ME3 to show up there. So I gave up to even bother with the rest. Also after using the keep my DA profiles seem to be locked so I can't insert the links to the forum profile even if I wanted to.

The Keep is there because a save import would have been extremely buggy and incomplete. You know, like in the previous game? At least with the Keep you don't have to worry about your save importing things incorrectly. If you don't remember your choices you can leave the default ones and use the interactive video to pick the main choices you want. You are not required to pick each decision in the Keep. You can customize as little or as much as you want.

That remains to be seen since it's a new process.  I'll hope for the best though, but people should expect there to be some kind of issue at first.  Maybe I'll be surprised.

As far as them "chickening out of the challenge", would you rather they dick around with the import or make more content for the game itself?

The benefit of the Keep over importing saves is that you can play different runs of Inquisition and future games without replaying the previous games.

As far as your memory, also check the in-game journal.

If you don't remember the choices they probably weren't important to you.

I haven't forgot most of the choices, but my problem is that I have tons of different wardens, lol. At the end I've just created some profiles according to moral choices (good, neutral, evil)

I don't know how could I remember all choices after this long time. It's not like my mind was racing around dragon age ever since.
Oh they were important at the time, I'm also a maximalist in gaming, if I realize that I made a bad choice it will haunt me even to the point to make me re-start the whole game if neccessary. Even if it was a minor thing.

I also have multiple wardens so mixing up different playtroughs is very easy. And I don't even have time to do a new play trough until DAi is released anymore.

Go read the wiki, watch youtube or choose the Yolo button.

The wiki has a breakdown of what each choice is for in each quest.

Or, as a prior poster mentioned, use The Dialogue Wheel's Keep Companion. If you run the two sites side-by-side, the tiles line up and everything. Minimum effort, ALL the answers.

I think it just came down to permission from MS and Sony, who I imagine are both pretty protective of any potential business loss from crossover customers right now. GTA5 got away with it probably because it was an existing game reissue and that game brings in monster business, so RockStar has leverage. They don't want to make a pattern of it while they're trying to launch new consoles, I bet. And Keep already lets us recreate worldstates, so they cut their losses and put their resources toward more development, rather than an extra import only a minority would have access to, but would nonetheless discourage moving to the new platforms. They made the right decision given the circumstances IMO.
