So I've been attempting to figure out all possible versions of the fate of Bella in Redcliffe's Tavern.

 

If you leave Redcliffe to it's fate, she dies. But if she lives:

 

If you give her 5 Gold she leaves to start her own brewery.

If Lloyd perishes in the battle to save Redcliffe she takes over his tavern.

If neither of these things happen, she just stays there working for Lloyd. But the Keep doesn't have this option, it says she leaves Redcliffe. I don't think that's an option is it?

 

Isn't there also an option to get her to be a maid for Bann Tegan? I just saw a dialogue option for that while talking to her but I can't remember how to replicate it.

The first time I played DA:O she definitely went up to the castle. I think the Warden said he could put in a word for her.

 

Since then, for whatever reason, I've never been given the option for her to serve in the castle again, and I'd begun to think I'd imagined it!  Then, when that possibility wasn't included in the Keep, I was sure I'd imagined it!

 

So, yes, in short, there is an option for her to become a maid. I have no idea what I did differently in that first playthrough to make it happen, but thanks for putting my mind at ease on this one!

Hmm I don't remember that at all . Bevin's sister Kaitlyn can marry Teagan though

Whaat? I've never heard the option for her to be a maid before. Are you sure this is not for that other girl that gets married to Teagan eventually?

You forgot that you can have Lloyd alive and still give ownership of the tavern to Bella.  You just have to intimidate Lloyd into giving you said ownership, talk to Bella after defending the town, and give it to her...

Fine, but the Keep only mentions whether Bella took over the tavern or not. That's just another way to that ending.

Anyway, so the two main issues I was trying to raise was that unless I'm missing something, the default Bella tile should be something like "Bella stayed in the tavern" not "Bella left Redcliffe" and that there should be another tile about becoming a maid for Bann Tegan.

 

Does anyone know of any reason why that shouldn't be how it works?

So if you gave her a lesser amount ie. silver she leaves but we don't know what happened to her?

If you offer her 100 Silver to leave she refuses to take it because it wouldn't be enough to make a difference.

I think "Stayed at the Tavern" should probably be added, but couldn't "Bella left Redcliffe" be interpreted as "Bella became a maid for Teagan"?  After all, Teagan is the Bann of Rainesfere, which doesn't include Redcliffe(yes, Teagan seems to e Arl of Redcliffe in Inquisition, but "current events" really be taken into account when presenting the tiles for prior games in the Keep).

And?  There's no mention of the Warden being the one to kill Wynne(in "died at broken circle") or Zevran in their tiles either...

 

Edit:  As I said, the Bella tile could be more clear that she left to be a maid... But just because it doesn't say that, doesn't mean it didn't happen.  Just like how just because the tiles don't say Wynne(or Zevran) died at the hands of the Warden, doesn't mean that's exactly what happened...

As I recall, you talk to her about Lloyd, you talk to Teagan a bit about his life, then you go back to Bella and discuss the idea of her leaving the bar and working for Teagan.  I also believe you can't convince her to leave the tavern and work for Teagan unless you do it after saving the town, and you can't have taken ownership(because if she works for you, her working conditions are better), nor can you offer your assistance prior to saving the town.

I'm surprised I've never come across this option. I'll keep it in mind on my next playthrough. Looks like it's such an easily missed thing that even the Keep forgot about it .

I think if you left her in the Redcliffe tavern that she will appear in DAI.because we know that Redcliffe will be in DAi

There is no reason to think it applies to being a maid to Bann Tegan. Especially since many of his endings include staying in Redcliffe. The Keep can have tangible effects on the Dragon Age games. The only reason to imagine that tile means she becomes Bann Tegan's maid is headcanon. Plus it's the default option, and I doubt they would make her being his maid the default option since you have to go out of your way to get it.

I remember this option too...  In my opinion it's pretty clear in the DA Keep. 

 

If she dies, it means you didn't defend the town. 

 

If she goes and starts a brewery, it means you gave her the money to do so. 

 

If she takes ownership of the bar and names it Warden's Rest, it means you somehow got Lloyd out of the picture. 

 

If she leaves Redcliff, it means she went to become a maid.  That's the ONLY way she could leave Redcliff.  There was no option in the game where she just left the town and didn't start a brewery.
