Banner Saga would be great if you like CYOA Adventure RPGs with a norse setting and american-style animation. S'got very fun Turn-Based combat to boot.
DYAD is great if you wanna feel like you're on LSD.
Guacamelee is a metroidvania with a veeeery different vibe/setting to it than most games.

Some of the ones on the top are great too - if you don't mind indie games, I'd go for Guacamelee/Banner.

If they have to be retail/next-gen, I'd go either Total War: Shogun 2, Darksiders, Dungeon Siege III, or maybe Alan Wake.

I assume these the game will be activated on Steam.

I pick Dirt 3 because I love racing and rally games. If you're not sure just search them on Steam's store page and read the description and the reviews, or just simply pick the most expensive one out of them.

What has a rich story line?

Banner Saga, Darksiders, Alan Wake.

Banner Saga is going to feel a bit like TWD. It's surviving day-to-day, making difficult decisions that may screw you over or work to your benefit.

Alan Wake is... Stephen King-esque. I'll leave it at that.

Darksiders is playing off of an Angels Versus Demons Story, but comes with some neat twists.

Darksiders or Alan Wake.

I think I may enjoy one of them. I'm a picky gamer so which one should I play? I will not buy any of these games, so which is a do not miss?

Personally, I would say Darksiders. Alan Wake has the story/atmosphere, but the gameplay doesn't wow me at all, and feels more frustrating than fun. If you prefer stuff like God of War, Dark Souls, or other Adventure-RPGs like that, go for Darksiders.
