In the DA:I PAX:Aus Twitch stream (which *just* finished and I imagine will be posted on YouTube soon...), Mike Laidlaw was asked about DLC plans and he said they are going to focus on multiplayer first. The plan, he said, is to release free DLC including new maps and characters for multiplayer, just like they did for ME:3.

Laidlaw said that any hypothetical story DLC wouldn't come until later (probably not until Q1 2015 at the earliest, but that's just my guess based on the fact that he stressed that the entire team is exhausted (understandably so!) and isn't planning on working on any story DLC soon...)

What do you guys think about that??

I was kinda hoping the first DLC they'd release would be like the Black Emporium, with a "face melter" and (hopefully!) some new hairstyles and casual outfits for the Keep (and maybe a new outfit to wear at the ball)...

If it's all free like ME3's was then I have no problem with it. Also I'd rather prefer them to take more time with Single Player DLC.

Seems like the standard route to go.  I don't know what to say about multiple player mode.  I don't think I'll play it, but it could very well be a success and I hope it is.  I'll definitely be very excited the day they release any news on any content to add to story.   I'm always up for DLCs.  A couple of big ones, like they've done before, would be sweet.

I agree! I actually would love a full blown expansion, like Awakening, so if I have to wait a year for that, I'll gladly do it.

Awesome...Love the free DLC in ME3 and its great that they're continuing with that...and waiting a few quarters before starting story based DLC is a good move as well...I hope they sit down and spend some serious time on it, and that they take their time... since they no longer have to worry about the hellish moments before launch.

Sounds fine. They probably want more time to work on the singleplayer dlc anyway.

I would not expect DLC to come out super fast sure they have ideas from some already so I wont expect one until say 3 months after march as far as story DLC. I will purchase probably all DLC they make for this granted I do that for pretty much all games that RPG's anyways.

Genius takes time to create. Awakening is arguably the best DLC BioWare has ever done. They could take tips from BGS and take time to build something truly special like Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Shivering Isles, etc.

I'm fine with this. In reality I've got 150 hours of content in front of me with other play throughs with different scenarios Created by the keep.

I hope they do quality dlc like dao or legacy in da 2, or a big expansion like awakening

If the DAMP dlc itself is good & any eventual singleplayer dlc is substantial and good then I won't complain.  ME3 saw its fair share of singleplayer dlc.

I'd like the Mirror of Transformation to keep at Skyhold (or something similar), more casual outfits to wear around Skyhold, and more options for what to wear during the Orlesian ball mission - including some ball gowns!

If the plan is to give us free multiplayer DLC (this greatly improved ME3's MP) and big, juicy story DLCs for single-player (and who knows, maybe an expansion?), I'm all for it.

The whole point of the ME3 DLC was that it was never exclusive, either in pricing or console exclusivity nonsense. If DAMP is anything at all like how ME3 was handled, the only "exclusives" will be the irrelevant armour DLC crap.

As long as a SP one comes out soon too. I really would rather not wait 4 or 5 months for a SP DLC while MP has had 3 or 4.

Only the first "premium" DLC has been advertized as exclusive. I doubt MP DLC is what they were referring to. There hasn't been any indication of exclusive dlc beyond that first premium content.

MP DLC is free so you get what you pay for.

I have to agree that I don't mind them taking their time with any story DLC, I'll be pretty busy with doing everything I can with the base game anyways. If they could release something to change our appearance though, that would be awesome. Maybe if it is asked for enough they'll throw something in.

I don't remember him confirming anything.  He said they've been thinking of pushing out a lot of DAMP DLCs and keeping them all free.
