Hmm well, I'm a straight male so I cant really judge 100%. But Imo blackwall, Dorian and Cullen looks "Hollywood-handsome". I just find it really frustrating , this discussion I mean, because I would bet my left kidney that if they made Cullen look hideous - the female crowd would grab the torches and pitchforks at once. But if we males complain about how the women look we are automatically the bad guys - while - if reversed - they would be just as disappointed and vocal.
Cullen is conventionally attractive, but so is Josephine.
Otherwise, Blackwall is 100% not conventionally attractive, and neither are Dorian or the IB.
Oh my God did you see the wart on Josephine's forehead. HIDEOUS.
Put a bag on it.
Bioware, stop breaking all our conventions!
Nowadays beards and long hair are pretty attractive. I think blackwall is conventionally attractive lol
They are most certainly not. They might be to some subset or segment of the population, but conventionally attractive means big media, and no one looks like they're a lumberjack who escaped from a prison camp.

It's how some people are complaining The problem, not The complaining itself. Its pretty true. Guys cant complain about unattractive girls or were sexist. But girls can complain about unattractive guys cuz theyre fabulous.

Wasn't that Hawke's backstory?
This whole thing is funny and frustrating, because my tumblr dash collapses into a swoony heap every time a new video featuring Cass and/or Josephine comes out. Men, women...gay, straight, and bi. If it wasn't for the BSN and their hypercritical levels of criticism, I'd have no idea that anyone could find them less than gorgeous.
Not that kind of beard, I think.Nowadays beards and long hair are pretty attractive. I think blackwall is conventionally attractive lol

Varric changed all the trees into Darkspawn for the sake of drama.

Dorian not attractive? You joking?
I just wanna say the female options i can romance in dragon age inqusition i don't have instant attraction to.
I don't really like the video this guy made but i must be honest that the looks of the two females i can romance aren't the most beautiful.
But this said when i finally get to play the game, the looks might not matter in the end, mean personnality can go along way.
Also i would like to add even if they aren't that attractive yet to me, might be i change my mind when i see them ingame so you people can take what i said the way you want.

There is nothing wrong with saying you think teh three female romance options are ugly. The video try's to imply its some kind of agenda either deliberate or accidental because "90% of the writers at bioware are gay men or women." [No sources for this "fact" given by the presenter] I think its more than reasonable to critique this kind of Woe is me straight men are so hard done by crap.

I don't know if men just like one type of women but personally I can't find Blackwall attractive at all. Dorian is only one attractive to me, Cullen is just not my type though I like him as character a lot. In other hand Cassandra is gorgerous and everything I want to be as woman (except that braid in her hair, it's just odd I'd love her just with the short Catwoman cut).
The problem there is that lot of players who complain about looks of Cass, Josephine and Sera say they are universally ugly (which isn't true) and they make offensive comments. It's okay if your subjective view doesn't see them as attractive but complaining that women shouldn't have short haircuts, birthmarks, strong jaws etc. is just ridiculous. There is lot of women who IRL have these and calling these features just plainly ugly or unattractive is very offensive.
Thats just crazy. Diversity does nothing to limit gaming experiences it does the opposite. It gives us more choice and it expands the experience we can have with games.
Yeah, it is crazy. The (highly irrational) fear seems to be that game developers will be forced to stop making the kind of entertainment they like if people are allowed to criticize games for the problematic cultural attitudes they reflect.
He said conventionally attractive.
Exactly my point. His face perfect for male.
