I wouldn't say so, since without The Moustache is face doesn't look so good.Exactly my point. His face perfect for male.
Though I think Exile was referred to The moustache. And I see others saying the same thing.
Again, some people say women in DAI aren't conventionally attractive, While others say men aren't (well, except Cullen). Who is right?

As a heterosexual white male gamer, I'm neither terrified nor spewing vitriol.
I'm a heterosexual white male gamer myself (not that it should matter). In the dreaded 18-35 demographic, to boot! Which is why I said "some of them" are terrified and specified that it was "those individuals" who were spewing the vitriol.

It's how some people are complaining The problem, not The complaining itself.
It's fine not finding The women in DAI attractive. It's not fine saying They did it to punish us or because they're catering to (straight) women.
Oh I don't care that much tbh. Romance isnt a big deal for me and I find Cassandra very, very attractive anyway. Also the argument that they do it to "Punish straight male gamers" is so bad that I dont think anyone takes them seriously anyway.
I just wanted to discuss the fact that the romance option for women are all "standards beauty hollywood fantasy" while the male options are not, and that I understand that people are disappointed that they didnt get atleast one "shallow" choice. But as I said... I'm not gay so I cant really judge the male character's looks to a real degree here. So if some women or gay people could tell me "Blackwall, Cullen and Dorian does not look better than average at best" (in their opinion) then I'll admit to there being some balance here.
(So yeah I just wanted to point out that I think the options for women are TYPICAL while the options for men are a-typical)

There's a pretty big gulf between "I don't find "X" attractive" (which is a perfectly reasonable opinion one can have) and "Cassandra has dike hair". Not that this is unsual griping - there was some similar stuff against, for example, Isabella. Though other gender-based insults were thrown her way.
Some of it is definitely sexist, like the ranting in the video. But I've also seen some people just say that Cassandra wasn't their cup of tea, and have had people jump on them for it. Someone saying that androgyny is not their thing should be perfectly acceptable, after all tastes vary and we all have different standards for what is or isn't attractive. So long as the criticism isn't seasoned with insults, it should be a bit of a non-issue.
We've also seen similar criticism aimed at the appearance of male characters in the past. I'd argue that Vega got it worse than Cassandra in the run up to ME3, with all the Jersey Shore comparisons.

It's not just he mustache, but his facial structure in general. Not that he's not attractive, but just not attractive in the way that conventional models/actors are, e.g. Brad Pitt back in the day.

No one is going to take it the wrong way if you think Leliana and Viv are the most beautiful women in the game and you're sad you can't romance them.
It's just when it becomes "BIOWAREEEEE I DESERVE A HOT WOMAN GIVE ME MY PRIIIZE THESE UGGOS ARE USELESS" that it becomes uncomfortable and when it gets to "AND ALSO U DID THIS TO SPITE ME AND BE PC FOR THESE FAKE GAMER GIRLS" that the sympathy train has left the station and burned the track behind it so it can never return.
Quoted for truth.

When female cry they have less options man are misogynist pigs, When male cry we have less options we are misogynist pigs. Female have 3 male companions to romance, Male have only 1 female companion to romance. We have no options and this is problem.

Well, I'm a straight male, but I saw people saying Bull, Solas, Dorian and Wall aren't conventionally attractive or ugly.Oh I don't care that much tbh. There is nothing wrong with saying you think teh three female romance options are ugly. The video try's to imply its some kind of agenda either deliberate or accidental because "90% of the writers at bioware are gay men or women." [No sources for this "fact" given by the presenter] I think its more than reasonable to critique this kind of Woe is me straight men are so hard done by crap.
Ah lol... I shouldve stayed out of this then. Because I dont think there is some big agenda at work here. Is there a correlation between the characters and their appearance and the sexuality of the writers? Maybe. But I dont think there is any malevolent master plan at work ![]()

There are different ways of putting it, though. I don't find androgyny attractive is very different from, say, women should look like women. It's hard to talk about this in the abstract.
Though I will say re: Vega that there's just no general culture of men being reduced to their appearance, which makes the comparison back a bit hollow, even though it's still damaging and it's bad when people do it.

I think no one in DAI is conventionally attractive, I think they have much personality on their faces which I like. That makes them subjectively attractive, some are to me and some are to others. I like this approach best.

I don't know if men just like one type of women but personally I can't find Blackwall attractive at all. Dorian is only one attractive to me, Cullen is just not my type though I like him as character a lot. In other hand Cassandra is gorgerous and everything I want to be as woman (except that braid in her hair, it's just odd I'd love her just with the short Catwoman cut).
The problem there is that lot of players who complain about looks of Cass, Josephine and Sera say they are universally ugly (which isn't true) and they make offensive comments. It's okay if your subjective view doesn't see them as attractive but complaining that women shouldn't have short haircuts, birthmarks, strong jaws etc. is just ridiculous. There is lot of women who IRL have these and calling these features just plainly ugly or unattractive is very offensive.
I dont disagree with you on this, well said.

I don't get why people are so hung on appearance right now, give it a week after release and rule 34 will make sure that plenty of people will learn to "appreciate" their appearances.
Sorry, easy joke

I find it intresting that suddenly gamer men feel like they are under attack.
We are not under attack yet there are people convinced we are. Why? What is it about diversity that makes some men feel under attack? That to me is a worthy topic.
That's because male gamers are under attack by the gaming industry. Why do you think GamerGate is so big?
Personally, I don't find either of the current heterosexual male romances attractive in the least, but I'm going to give Josephine a chance. That being said, the fact that people constantly tout our supposed 'male privilege' is a pretty obvious 'shut up, you don't deserve an opinion'.
To which I say no, I'm allowed my opinion and have no obligation to adhere to your SJW bigotry.

They are most certainly not. They might be to some subset or segment of the population, but conventionally attractive means big media, and no one looks like they're a lumberjack who escaped from a prison camp.
a few billion people where breads are an expected part of being male and an inability to grow one is seen as being "weak" would disagree with you.

This is just typical of the "Woe is me straight men are so hard done by," attitude.
Straight women have 4 options (IB, Cullen, blackwall and solas)
Every one else gets 2, Straight men, gay men, gay women.
Yes women get more but who cares, its not unfair. Its just unequal and unequal =/= unfair. Players on a sports team don't get paid the same amount of money its unequal but it sure is fair.
The video is claiming its proactive PCism or some accidental or deliberate agenda but the writers of bioware to punish men. Thats where the critique is coming from. Its BS men are not being punished.

No one has called anyone here a misogynistic pig besides the fictional people in your strawman argument?
(Btw, straight women have 3 male companions. Lesbians only 1 female companion. So...not all women.)
And advisers are full romances?
But we are talking about appearances here, not numbers. I don't really get the point of this post, sorry.
