In my first playthrough of Origins, the first time I died in the game was at the Tower of Ishal, smashed to bits by the ogre. The idea is to take the instant of that first in-game death ("Your journey ends")  and spin off an alt-history from that. How would the story have been different?

With all Grey Wardens in Ferelden dead, the Blight would have swarmed northward unopposed.

Without the Warden's internvetion, Redcliffe would have been wiped out by the undead horde and Arl Eamon would have remained comatose, with Connor staying an abomination.

The templars would likely have carried out the Rite of Annulment, incurring losses in the process.

The Dalish and the werewolves would have likely gone to war. I'm going to say the Dalish would have won, but not without great cost.

The Urn would never have been found and would have remained pure.

Given how ruthless Bhelen is, he would likely have utlimately secured the throne. If by force, there would be a civil war in Orzammar. Otherwise, it would likely end up as in the Epilogue, where he disbands the Assembly and rules as an absolute monarch.

Branka would likely been unable to breach the defenses and died in the Deep Roads.

But in the end, Denerim would have fallen to the darkspawn and Ferelden would have been devastated. The Blight would have spread to Orlais and the Free Marches. From there, most likely someone else would have defeated the Archdemon, but only with hundreds of thousands more dead.

Depending on how the Blight spread, this might also affect DAII. Hawke might have died or fled further north as the Blight spread to the Marches. The Mage-Templar War may not have broken out.
