My general impression of Bsn? A mix of thoughtful speculation and silliness, with occasional outburts of FEELS (good or bad). So far I haven't really seen much outright hostility. There are far, far worse communities out there.

You've been lucky, then. But then, the hostility I've bumped into has been more recent, so I guess I was lucky at some point too.

Romances tend to be split into two distinct types of threads:
The latter type certainly should be on that list, but they rarely coexist within a single thread and when they do, it tends to get nuked into oblivion quickly.

If someone "new" to the BSN has a question, can't they just ask? Does somenone need to really reach out and stroke their hand, and whisper encouragement and comfort?
New or old membership is irrelevant; if you have a question or concern, voice it.
